Capitalism is not fading nor ending. Admittedly it is not perfect.

It changes with the times as do all 'isms' and still provides a better life than any other system.

This is not open for debate since all we need to do is look at history.

Such as running water, clean air, abundant food, cars, air travel, ...
Thinking that capitalism is the only way is like being sure the earth is flat like they did hundreds of years ago, you are only sure because you don't see the big picture.

Capitalism will die, it's inevitable. The planet will run out of resources.

Hard to sell to the old folks though, especially those who think Jesus put dinosaur bones in the ground.

Nonsense. The planet has exactly the same atoms, in exactly the same proportions, as it had a million years ago (give or take a small fraction of 1% due to meteorite impacts, the space program, and radioactive decay). It also has the same amount of energy (again, give or take a tiny fraction of 1%) pouring down on it every day.

Matter and energy. Only thing you need after that is brainpower.

I bet that you didn't read your own linked article.

The numbers also showed a tendency to follow party lines, with nearly 60% of Republicans identifying as creationists, while 41% of Democrats hold the same beliefs.

gee..... does this mean that the 41% of democrats hate themselves?

Spite votes. It's gonna cost them.

What would you do if you are 17 or 18 fresh out of high school and living in AB?

Which direction would you take? Polytech? College? University? Trade? Move? Smoke dope and drink beer and work in service? Pull your pud?

Do what you think best and f**k the Gov't. If you have to depend on Gov't. you are f**ked anyway! :)

The end of capitalism has begun and we are entering the postcapitalist era. At the heart of this transition is information technology, reimagining working and the sharing economy. The 1% has gotten richer and the environment is in crisis. Capitalism has failed the world. Why not imagine a utopian society? Why not imagine an economic model based on abundance instead of scarcity?

Ten years of depression during the Hungry 30s didn't do anything to end capitalism, so I doubt if this little blip we're experiencing now is going to. There's likely more wealth in the world right now than at any time previously! The problem is it's mostly in the hands of the wrong A$$holes! :)
