Maybe it's time for female prez. in the US. Not Clinton and certainly not Palin. Have no idea who. I like Judge Judy but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't take a cut in pay.

I was impressed with Judge Pirro .

I think Judy is getting a little long in the tooth- she's older than I am, I think.

All the above posts show is that the forum lefties are scared of ole Jeb....Just that... is a good enough reason for intelligent people to vote for him should he win the nomination.....

That 'plains why since righties are so scared of Hillary that even more intelligent folks should vote for her. ;)

The problem with both of your statements is the assumption of the existence of the so called intelligent people/folk.

Well I think Reagan was older than that so age is not always an issue.:).
Reagan was 69 when he was first elected prez and 73 when elected for his second term. He was the best prez since Coolidge.

yeah that's what my guy keeps telling me and I will concede to a degree but by the time Reagan left he was no longer functioning on full throttle ... then again, presidents do what they are told on the important meaningful issues so....don't know if it really matters all the much...a wooden puppet has no brain or memory at all yet still serves the purpose well

Reagan was full throttle till the end of his second term. The media and the RINOs gave him a much rougher ride than BHO has ever had.

I'm thinking that most politicians need to be good actors and in that sense Reagan was pretty good. Who knows what really goes on in that circle I know I don't.

I liked Abraham Lincoln from what I read in history. I liked Franklin Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor. I've heard that Eisenhauer was a good president as well but haven't read much about him. As for performing in difficult times and leading the nation out of probably the most difficult time in our history. I'd choose Franklin.

I don't know about the media but his son would disagree with you and states so in a book he co-wrote with Nancy.

In it, Ron Reagan describes his growing sense of alarm over his father's mental condition, beginning as early as three years into his first term. He recalls the presidential debate with Walter Mondale on 7 October 1984.
etc

For those who wonder, RINO means "Republican in name only." It means any Republican who ever deviates from the teabagger agenda into the realm of reason.

And these imbeciles claim liberals want everyone in lockstep.

Backlash. Whenever oppressed groups make progress, there's a backlash. The abolition of slavery produced Jim Crow and the Klan, the Civil Rights Acts produced COINTELPRO and FBI surveillance of black leaders. All attempts to rationalize immigration policy produce Minutemen-style hysteria. The growth of women in the workplace, especially above the level of "order taker," produces the vicious sexism we're seeing.

And of course, hard economic times make people stingier, especially as regards groups. And it ain't just the U.S. Read some of the open hostility toward women, FNs, and immigrants in Canada and Britain.

Of course, the ultimate economic hard times, the Great Depression, spurred the ultimate backlash, Nazism.

People who are afraid don't want to admit it, even to themselves. So they use anger and hate as masking emotions for fear.

That makes sense to me. We seem to be a reactionary lot.

What's the title of the book Ron Jr., a Democrat, co-wrote with Nancy Reagan?
