one game at a time jlm, one game at a time. ottawa will have to win 2 more in a row, just as vancouver
will have to, leaves them still behind, just like vancouver.

no way to tell who will win in either series, even if each team ties it up, if that happens then it will
a one game takes all series.

Yep, if the outcomes were clear there'd be no sense playing these games. :)

One good result out of the three games tonight. N.Y.R. beat Penguins in O.T. :) :)

yes, pittsburgh are going home, they put up a valiant fight, but it was not to be, games were close,
but rangers are the better team and it was 'they' who should move on, and they are.

minnesota won over st. louis, close game for awhile, then minny took over, now 3-2 for minnesota in
the series.

ottawA still alive, beat habs tonight, sens are looking good right now, but habs still up 3games to 2

islanders playing capitals as we speak, tied at 1 first intermission
isles took 3 penalties in a row toward end of the period, killed 2 of them, not so lucky
on the third one, they have to stay out of the box.

islanders defeated capitals 2-1, so series will go back to washington
for game 7

detroit and tampa bay underway, no score near the end of the first period.

got to the Isles game at the last minute - did not expect them to go this far but am hopeful that maybe they can pull it off

Halak will have to have a great game for them to win it

Go Isles!

minnesota just eliminated st.louis from the playoffs, i'm happy to say, i was hoping for minny,
they have such a 'team', no huge superstars, but a complete team, with many very talented
individuals, zack parise being one of their best, he scored 2 goals today, in their 4-1 victory.

montreal and ottawa just getting ready to start --

montreal defeated ottawa 2-0, didn't see the end, but watched most of it, it was 1-0 almost the whole
game, montreal can thank price for the win, and whatever series they win, it will be price that does
it, cause the team isn't top rate, but the goalie definitely is. i didn't really care which team
won, i like ottawa too, great young players, and the coach is a hoot, great personality, so now
montreal will play either tampa bay or detroit, and whichever of those teams can get the puck
past price will beat montreal.

so now, its just the islander/washington series and the detroit/tampa bay series to be decided.

Three reasons 1. They're an old dynasty with lots of loyal fans for support. 2. Carey Price 3. P.K. Subban (and #4 I want them to win) :)

dynastys are dead. lots of loyal fans for all teams in the playoffs, even tampa bay, they get a good turnout.
lots of players in the playoffs As good or better than subban, yes, price can do it all, but i don't want
a team to win on the back of their goalie, i want a team to win as a real team, including their goalie.
i always cheer for a western team against an eastern team. i love the islanders, want them to win
the east, but in the stanley cup, if they are there, i won't be on their side. i like the rangers too,
and i think they are the strongest eastern team.

the next series between minnesota and chicago should be really good, two very tAlented, fast teams, who
can win along with their goalies, and ican't pedict which team will come out the victor.

anaheim and calgary is a curious one for me, i'm looking forward to watching how they play each other,
won't be anything like the first two, calgary are not big, but they Are fAst, goAlkeeping willbe very
important for them. anaheim are big and talented too, should be interesting. if anaheim's defence
aren't fast and mobile, they could have trouble with those fast forwards for calgary, but it also
might be a cakewalk for anaheim, we'll see.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
just remembered my tally of what teams have' how' many canadian players-- just curious, i like to know.

calgary - 17
anaheim - 15
montreal - 15
washington- 14
islanders - 13
chicago - 13
rangers - 11
minn. - 10
tampa - 8
detroit - 7

calgary definitely the real canadian nhl team.
and also, if calgary continue to win i will follow and cheer for them, as they
are in our pacific division, that is kudos for us if they win, don't think they will,
same for anaheim, our division.

Caps > Isles 2-1

tough match - both sides gave a real good account of themselves but the better team won it fair & square

yes, as much as i wanted the islanders to win, capitals were stronger, and deserved the win, so be it.

detroit and tampa bay are going back to tampa for game 7 on wednesday, t bay won today.

one playoff game today - detroit at tampa bay, 4:30 pac. time

cronwell has been suspended one game, detroit will miss him a lot, they will have to play
hard, it won't be easy, but they can still do it.
