No, the temperature needn;t stay constant. But regardless of the natural trend, the tropospeher is about 1 deg warmer than it otherwise would be due heat rtapped from anthropgemnic carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

I said it's about 1 deg C warmer than it otherwise would be. I don't think that falls into Doomsday category.
1 degree warmer and less rain seems alright to me , but 12 degrees warmer is even better .
