The same view from Trudeau's eyes. He too has to finish what was started almost 15 years ago. The goal set by Libs was 3,000,000 bbls per day by 2025.

10 years to go.

Smart people change goals as situations and conditions change.

NO f U C K I N G W A Y Really, anybody that would vote tory now is either a serious zealot, blind, deaf and stupid. All politicians embellish "facts" and weasel around questions, but this bunch has told more out and out lies than any I've seen, and I've seen a few.

That's fine, but who would you vote for? (That is going to improve the situation)

Uncomfortable yet? We have finally reached the point where if you don't want Enbridge to run a pipeline through the watershed your children drink out of without any sort of functional environmental assessment or oversight, you are an enemy of the state. Idle No More, ForestEthics, Sierra Club, EcoSociety, LeadNow, Dogwood Initiative, Council of Canadians and the People’s Summit have already been deemed a threat to Canada and monitored by the RCMP, according to documents obtained under FOI requests by Professors Kevin Walby and Jeffrey Monaghan.

Canada: Bill C-51 Could be Used to Stifle Social and Environmental Movements, Accuse Citizen Media Groups of “Supporting Terrorism” | Global Research

In fact, the RCMP considers Canada to be at greater risk from environmental activists than religious extremists.

Canada more at risk from environmentalists than religiously inspired terrorists: RCMP | Vancouver Observer

In fact, merely by publicly advocating environmentally sound policy (that might challenge corporate profits), you may already be eligible for up to five years in prison. - Michael Nabert
Harpo needs to go.

I am faced with a serious dilemma as said there is no credible alternative at the
same time the guy is power has been a disaster. We have a government that
has begun to dismantle the civil service, cuts are one thing damaging the frame
work is something else. The social safety net needed some cuts but they are
way beyond the pale and I cannot support this government.
Mulcair, yes I sympathize with some of his ideals. The NDP agenda like the Tory
one could be tilting the balance the other way as a majority government
Trudeau, I think the lad has a few things going for him he is willing to speak with
the press and public without scripted and managed questions but then so does
Mulcair. The whole return to the Liberal days is not that appealing and I have
serious problems with going down that road.
Greens are out of the question they would amount to a fanatical dictatorship on
the environment and I dismiss that outright.
For me three choices Liberals, NDP or spoil my ballot.

doubt it very much.

Conservatives or Liberals, don't care who is in power, as long as it's Conservatives or Liberals.

This election will center arround making Liberals regains it's former place.

If you don't understand that you're very naive.

I still say I would prefer Liberal minority with NDP backup (or vise versa). Worked before and gave us our social safety net that Harpo has worked so hard to dismantle.

I think Stephen Harper and the Conservatives deserve another chance up until the time when some other regime can guarantee a better chance!:)

You don't mean with Jr. at the helm?

While I'd be a little leery about dismantling the civil service, an overhaul wouldn't hurt things. Maybe try cutting half the bureaucraps for starters and after a year or so fine tune that!

Truth is, among the lot of them, Mulcaire is the only one who shows any signs of humanity and intelligence. But the sheeple outnumber us 10 to one, so I don't see him having a chance at even a minority. But, as they say, "ABC - Anybody But Conservatives".

I'm very certain Mulcair could do an excellent job with an endless supply of someone else's money. :) :) :) :)

Stephen Harper: government of thugs

The current Canadian government is unlike any that has ever come before it and, let’s hope for the sake of Canada, any that is to come after. The Conservative government of Stephen Harper’s has operated in a way that puts power and holding on to power above all else. With no respect for parliamentary traditions or using parliamentary mechanisms for their intended purpose. Instead they use any means necessary to hold on to power (see the proroguing before parliament even started in 2008).
Stephen Harper’s is a government constantly at war. At war with anyone who opposes it. This is the only government which continues to campaign outside of federal elections. They work tirelessly and persistently to bash their opponents, well whoever is the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
The way in which they have silenced discussion on so many issues, cut funding to any organization that didn’t support their twisted take on reality. The way that they have forbade scientists from talking to the press and have destroyed years of scientific research. How they target charities like the David Suzuki Foundation calling them political radicals.
Like any dictator though Harper is paranoid. Paranoia will be his undoing.

2015; Does Stephen Harper and the Conservatives deserve another chance?
No, but I don't think anybody else in the House has shown they deserve a chance either. Muddle-headed featherweights, the lot of them. I hate having to choose based on who I dislike the least, I'd like a positive reason for voting a particular way. Much is going to depend on the quality of the local candidates.

Most of the constant criticism of Harper is empty rhetoric. I will vote Conservative again.

I'll be very surprises if jr. dosent win this one. There are powers in play behind the curtains that have a intrest too see it through.

Don't take my word for it, The NDP members agree. NDP sitting in official opposition standing was definitely not part of "their" Plan.

"Some" might be more realistic than "most"- I think he has a few problems ie the veterans, First Nations, homelessness, the Senate, crime largely due to drugs, just to name a few. But yes, there has to be much better alternatives than Jr. and Mulcair before I'll jump ship!

But specifically what? The vets aren't aren't getting enough money? That's new? The Senate? It's been a joke forever. Drugs and crime? JT is going to do better? Homelessness? It isn't going away no matter who the PM is. It's delusional to think JT will make any ground on those 'problems'.

JT won't bash his opponents? I mean come on. Those issues are just silly rhetorical jabs. Give me something with some meat on it.

You forgot other Provincial and Municipal issues like why Harper didn't fix the pothole in front of the neighbor's house.
