Who is to decide what is a bad choice or bad luck?

You don't get it, and you obviously have no idea what makes a successful person.

People make bad decisions and ain't responsible because government are always there bailing them out.
The kids are suffering because nothing ever forced their parents to grow up and be responsible parents.

You don't get that Sal?
no I do get a piece of that but...I don't CARE....the kids need help now and I have zero need to punish the kids because their parents can provide for them... someone else did the same to the parents they currently have...they smashed them down further...we learn what we live...live a life of poverty and abuse and intolerance and that is what we learn...and it repeats itself generation after generation

harshness does not beget love

but one person, just one, can change the life of another sometimes by something so inconsequential

you can not force another to be kind, or responsible...only a change in their heart can do that...

If those parents were faced with the choice of death or being responsible they would chose being responsible over death any day.

children should not have to suffer through a parents poor choice nor should they suffer because of a parents bad luck. Who is to decide what is a bad choice or bad luck?

A child that does suffer becomes an adult who suffers.

"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Ghandi

The child is suffering regardless. And as a society we are enabling their parents to continue.

What makes a person successful? (besides their own mind)

so now you want to start putting people to death for bad parenting...that's pretty harsh no?

How do you expect someone to have the mind to be responsible if you always save him from consequences of his irresponsibility ?

Nature, not me gives the consequences of death by starvation from irresponsible decisions.

I don't teach them...I'm just the office safe zone...they teach me

and yes some will be useless parents, drug addicted, poverty stricken, abusers...and a few will find a mentor and a heart and they will make the world a better place

and that's all that matters because we all have our own journey

okay, I have no idea about poverty but I do about human suffering

and no you don't get it
I live in North Central Regina. Canada's worst example of marginals who suffer from piss poor lifestyle decisions not poverty. They make the lifestyle choices because they won the lotto of life.

okay, so in your world, children born to bad providers should starve

that is actually how most of the world functions...children starve daily

children here do starve and die of malnutrition but we term it abuse most times, here in the first world we have the money to help those babies, we also try to help those babies/children in the third world but unfortunately, corrupt strong men with no conscience take the money we send and keep it for themselves and let the babies starve

that happens here too.

Let them starve, You're Children are you're eternal life, By keeping them alive you're enabling bad behaviour to continue.

I never heard of a Canadian child eating mud cakes to make the hunger pains go away and barely keep the lights on for another day.

if they are eating mud cakes there probably are no lights or electricity and little to no clean water either

what is your point Petros because it sounds a lot like the following...others in other countries have it way worse...these Canadian kids are lucky so we don't need to help them...god damned poor here should be happy

if that is not your point please explain what you keep hammering on and on about

Actually kids NEED three things- Love, discipline and wholesome food. Most of the other hardships, like patches on their jeans or having to sleep two or three to a bed, they will generally survive and may be of stronger character because of it. Lots of hard work never killed a child either as long as there is an hour for play once in awhile.

The child is suffering regardless. And as a society we are enabling their parents to continue.

Maybe when we understand more or have a better understanding of addiction, mental disorders, etc we'll be able to figure out how to stop the cycle successfully.

Currently we have no clue and are clearly grasping for any "thing" we think might fix it.

There are no starving children in Canada.

We've gone global. There may not be starving children in Canada, but there are children that go hungry. When one considers the wealth that Canada has, this shouldn't happen. Well some of us feel that this shouldn't happen.
