I was waiting for you to say something about the drop in oil prices. I remember a number of years back I started a thread with the rumblings of when fracking (N. American oil) starts hitting the market that it would send some shock waves into OPEC and we discussed it. And it looks as if that has happened. Back then it seemed so impossible.

I've no issues with it.

Geez... It was only last year in July when I started the thread. It felt like much longer.

Some people have misdirected disdain for successful people. Sad. Very sad.

Isn't war with the Soviets and Arabs fun? We should have done this ages ago.

Why is working for a living and doing well a bad thing?

Because when misfortune yanks the floor from under your carpet and your assets are depleted in the effort to survive, some vulturistic azzhole will be right there to kick you when you're down so your bones can be picked clean

Are those with the foresight to save or prepare for misfortune bad too?

Yeah, if it's hitting Canada economy, wonder how Russia is holding on??

That a good size of their exports.. other than Vodka and Caviar

They aren't holding on. Ruble has been hacked to pieces. Did you miss Tsar Vlad's speech the other day?

So we are cheering on low oil prices in the hopes it will ruin Russia even if we tank ourselves. BTW for the record a criminal banmking organization losing money doesn't mean the CEO's bonusus won't be bigger, it means they will be gigger because of all the hard work they will be putting in to get a taxpayer bailout. Russia can hold out longer that Europe, they don't have to sink Canada to do that. I love watching stipid people, not too impressed that our side has the clear majority of them.

Some people could find a downside in winning the lottery. Banks never loose money. As the price at the pump drops people have more disposable income to spread around instead of having to decide if they are buying gas to go to work or groceries. With the dollar dropping manufacturing will also pick up so in the end it will most likely be a wash.

There's also the new legislation that lets the banks have some of my savings by just looting my account. North Dakota has it's own state bank you know, they do very well, every year, Government insisted. Smart people those North Dakotians.

We got the majority of them because we had better TV.

Little suspicious that you can drop the 'accent' so quickly, oops if that was a secret.

I was going to post one link, fuk it, this is how 'badly' Russia is doing. Perhaps we need to learn that in a conflict the one with the product alwars can outlast the consumer.
Business / Sputnik International

Here is a good one and it also open it up for NG to come from Iran once Russia is ready to ship to China. We better get ready to start selling ice to California as that will be about our onlt product for sale in a world wher oil is at $25/barrel and the fracking boys find out that turning the vales off results in well water catching fire as do all the sinkhole which then have to be ignited to prevent explosions. The war link is for the usual crowd that thinks Russia would ever lay down a 2nd time.

There were a couple of Russian broadcasts about the airliner incident. If you can find them it is worth looking at them as they have a unique signiture in that they have a still photo and that comes off the page into a video. The West could can the whole talking heads TV thing and go that route, mind you that would means more news would actually be publishe and who in the West would ever want that to happen as it ends up with the public being informed.

You do notice that Russia or Iran are not telling Canada or the US where to build pipleines right?

You did notice Turkey told Putin to f-ck off? Altai Pipeline funding was dropped. You Soviet buddies are f -cked.

A number of conservation groups spoke out in support of Gazprom’s move to delay the project, including WWF-Russia, Russia’s Green Party People’s Alliance, Greenpeace, the Save Ukok Coalition, and others. While of course this action by Gazprom is certainly a positive one for the wellbeing of the Ukok Plateau and Altaians in the next few years, strong concerns remain about this project. Gazprom has by no means canceled the project, and indeed, in the week prior, Altai Republic hosted the 21st annual “New Technologies in Oil & Gas, Energy, and Communications Congress”, attend by 130 people including Gazprom representatives and a delegation from China. If Gazprom is truly planning to distance itself from the Altai pipeline project, holding an international conference to discuss major oil and gas infrastructure projects in Gorno-Altaisk appears disingenuous.

old news; please adjust your talking points to include the "Power of Siberia" pipeline! --- In May 2014, Russian Gazprom and China’s CNPC signed a $400 billion contract for the delivery of 38 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China annually for a period of 30 years

the 2,200-mile pipeline running from the Chayanda oil and gas field in Yakutia intended to deliver gas to Russia’s Far East as well as to export it to China (red dotted line below):

Nothing wrong with it. But getting filthy rich by keeping gas prices up is even better. That's why I recommended all those energy inefficiency policies. They'd create jobs and push the cost of gas up.
