Some of the adverse consequences of Obama's actions won't reach fruition until after his presidency ends. Some of those consequences will be irreversible. For example, the decline in America's standing in the Middle East can't be reversed. Neither can the hostility of Russia be diminished. The decline in the quality of the delivery of American medicine can't be reversed either. All of these things are attributable to the man who promised to transform America.

No question that the full gravity of his actions will not be transparent until some years after he has left office and the ill effects will be felt on a generational basis.

In many regards, Obama is a contemporary version of Pierre Trudeau. To this day, we are still paying down the costs of the workers-paradise that he attempted to engineer, regrettably, I suggest that this will be the case for the USA with President Obama's attempts at social engineering, an unaffordable green agenda and ACA (among other things).

You also touched on another important consideration relative to the intangible costs such as America's standing in various regions across the globe. The only way to assess the monetary cost is on an after-the-fact basis once things have settled down.

What is going over my head? I think sometimes when you think you are joking you are in fact "nailing" the truth right on the head!:)
How many presidents of the US have there been since January 21, 2009? No one called Harry. The last Harry prez died decades ago. He was a good one I admit.

...By good management perhaps?

That begs the question.

From you I was expecting more than rhetoric. Perhaps you can provide analysis to buttress your opinion on inflation during the Obama years and economic growth during that period of time. Btw, what has happened to the real earnings of American workers during the Obama years?

There is a correlation between geopolitical power and economic power. To the extent the former is diminished the latter is commensurately diminished. That diminishment translates into reduced living standards.

‘Unpatriotic Loophole’ Targeted by Obama Costs Taxpayers $2 Billion

By Zachary R. Mider Dec 2, 2014

U.S. companies that have already carried out inversions are likely to cost the government a record $2.2 billion or more in lost tax revenue next year, double the amount in 2014, according to calculations based on companies’ financial results.

That doesn’t include the impact of companies that shift their legal addresses abroad in the future, which one Congressional study pegged at about $2 billion a year over the next decade. Since the first inversion in 1982, the deals have cost more than $9.8 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars, the calculations based on data compiled by Bloomberg show.

In an era when tax rates paid by U.S. companies overall have declined, those that inverted reduced their taxes far more than competitors did. They were able to lower their effective tax rates between 6.6 and 17.4 percentage points more than peers that didn’t take a foreign address, the calculations show.

The data highlight how the U.S. government is paying the price for inversions it allowed to happen years or decades earlier. Even if Congress or President Barack Obama, who has called inversions an “unpatriotic tax loophole,” were to stop them today, the erosion of the tax base by past deals will continue to accelerate.

Many inverted companies are using their tax edge to out-compete U.S. rivals or buy them. Actavis Plc, a drugmaker with roots in New Jersey and California, took a legal address in tax-friendly Ireland last year. Since then, it has struck deals to acquire four U.S. competitors and slash their tax bills by hundreds of millions of dollars.

The latest US job figures by the Bureau of Labor Statistics are hocus pocus. Who here believes what the US Govt. tells them? They hide the decline in full time jobs that pay a living wage with benefits. The US middle class and working class are in dire condition. Young workers are not going to be upwardly mobile. The Govt. and Big Business are dragging them down. Anyone who says otherwise is a Leftist Stooge.
