unfortunately for President Harper, its the forth quarter and likely 1st,2nd to come that are going to be showing the reverse trend. As for economic growth, you do realize that GDP is product/service * price. And CPI is now running at 2.4% so, with all things being equal, inflating prices with the same level of service and production would produce a rise in GDP - in other words, if El presidente's plan is demonstrate economic growth through inflation, then he should talk to BofC to keep interest rate low to drive inflation - oh, wait, he did. My bad.
It's positively amazing that some conservatives can jump on a singular (presumably) good stat and yell "see I told you so,
Harpernomics is the Best" yet you forget that same wizard of world like fiscal domination has driven our debt load up by 30%. If the yanks were to raise their interest rates by 1 point, we here in Canada would have a choice (well we wouldn't - harper would) not raise the rate and watch foreign investment leave this land at the speed of light, or raise the rates and watch our interest payments jump by 10 billion. His fiscal nonsense has put us at risk.
There's nothing wrong with having disagreements.
In fact, I look forward to even MORE dissent and disagreement among the conbots lol
I don't watch Sun News. And I wasn't at any meeting about a civil war either.
Bonus Round
Sun News Network host Ezra Levant has been ordered to pay $80,000 in damages for libeling a Saskatchewan lawyer in a series of “reckless” blog posts, according to a Superior Court decision released Thursday evening.
But I'm not surprised that he's reacting like that ghastly bully always does. Portraying himself as a martyr........
I’ve lost my lawsuit. But I’m going to appeal. Here’s why. | STAND with EZRA
says the Walter guy in his perpetual echo-chamber! Please, please... don't give me any more reddies... as it simply showcases "we, you and I" can't have a disagreement without you going "ALL RED"!
Manning is a damn moron.
In fact he was never a 'conservative'.. he was a 'neo-conservative'.. a euphamism for 'libertarian' which is in fact a spawn of the decrepit British Liberalism of the 18th Century which itself was a form of social Darwinism... and deeply anti-government sentiment.
It's no surprise a fool like this would fall for AGW.
The 'conservative' movement is in a complete mess. It has been taken over in a palace coup by the old Reform Party went it 'merged' with the Progressive Conservatives.. which at least had some lineage back to social traditionalism, economic nationalism and dirigism.
What we have now in the Conservative Party is a radical, globalist, culturally libertarian, free market cult.
I didn't watch Sun News until the last couple of months.

LOL...don't embarrass yourself. A Conservative part shrill like you that doesn't watch Sun News? May as well try telling us you're a leprechaun. You would probably get more takers.
I like Jerry Agar, Brian Liley byline , Michel Coren and as for Ezra Levant..... after 15 minutes starts repeating himself so I switch to o'Reilley factor or something else...CNN or whatever............Sigh...
You no read so good.
Let me make it simple for you.
See Colpy.
See Colpy watch Sun News.
Colpy likes Sun News.
Watch Colpy watch.
Got it now??
We only had it included in our cable packages a couple of months ago.
Geezus.
Don't be in such a hurry to count SH out. For and agin generally agree on this man being 'a sticker'.
Im not saying its happening next week or anything but he will step down at some point. That is inevitable. Unless of course he is immortal and can make people keep him on forever.
Not to mention they are both liberals.Harper probably has one more term in him. By that time I would guess that he'll start thinking about retirement.
I find it funny that Liberal supporters are wishing for a palace coup. You'd thinking they'd be asking for a leader with some common sense and an inkling of experience.
Thomas Mulcair is more viable than Trudeau.
Interesting. I'm a conservative because I believe in conservative values. That's probably why you and I don't see eye to eye on many things.
Not to mention they are both liberals.
LOw interest rates and low fuel prices are good for the economy as a whole. Instead of buying little sh it box cars that manufacturers make no money on buyers will go up scale to something comfortable because they can now afford to drive. Might even buy something while they are out driving around.

Neo-conservatism is not libertarianism. Read a book.
The Reform Party.. and its successor the Alliance Party were populist, anti-federalist and for a balkanized Canada primarily governed at the provincial level. They were the equivalent of the States Rights parties in the States.
It's policies were directly against government regulation of trade, progressive taxation, industrial agency, and programs aimed at equitable distribution of wealth. The would find a direct corollory in the Tea Party in the States. Both were far more representative of cutural libertarianism than conservatism. That is the definition of neo-conservatism.
The shotgun wedding between Reform and the Progressive Conservatives was never a stable one. In fact in original platforms they were fundamentally antithetical political philosophies. And it is no surprise that seething divisions have developed within the Party that will inevitably tear it in two.
If I were to pick a conservative pundit, Jerry Agar's not so bad.
