2 more generations in Canada, and you will see a unified US and Canada.. guaranteed..

United North America

Almost 80 percent of Canada's population lives within 100 miles of the US border.

Canadians rely on the US military for protection against Russia and China.. if it were not for Canada's geography next to the USA, Canadians may very well be speaking Chinese or Russian.

Canadian economy is only due to it's geography to the USA. If the USA sealed it borders to trade with Canada, Canada would be a 3rd world country.

Canada and Canadians are nothing more than military and economic freeloaders riding the coat tails of the USA.
you are dreaming and judging your average Canadian as like you....they are not

you are totally Americanized. I seriously don't think you will ever be happy living here now.

LOL your favorite topic..

lol...absolutely

in all seriousness, I am glad I will be dead before anything like that will ever be considered. I am a proud Canadian. My parents choose Canada over the US where my father was also offered a job along with S. Africa and Australia.

You have lost your Canadian heart and that is too bad. Luckily for us Canadians, you are in the minority.

So why are you not supporting juan's freedom to invite B00mer to eff off?

Did I deny him the right? Mind you I AM kind of on the fence when a person's rights include f**king up another person's rights when those rights aren't to the detriment of anyone. :)

I'm getting late to this subject.

In my opinion I think something along the lines of Cascadia (Cascadia (independence movement) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) as an economic zone maybe more of what we see happen in the next few years.

There is an economic organization which includes the Western Provinces , Idaho, Montana as well as the states of the Pacific Northwest.I would provide a link but I forgot the name.

All its going to take is some major projects that involve these players to get an economic union (deeper than Nafta) off the ground.

Example:

Finish the rail link to Alaska.

The concept of Cascadia has been around for decades. Never gained much traction although there are several obvious benefits. Just who might be included varies with who is doing the preaching but generally includes BC, ALberta, Washington, Oregon, Montana plus what ever other current flavors are.

I know there has been talk about this off and on ever since the 70's at least, but its kind of like talk on the Dease Lake Extension, it keeps coming back.

I wish I could remember the name they have given to the new region including the Western Provinces and States. These governments are meeting to discuss ways to increase inter-regional trade.

Either Cascadia or Pacifica.

Canadians would ultimately lose their unique identity in a union formed through merger. Besides, if Canada and America merged how long would it be before Mexico sought inclusion in a North American Union?

With respect to Cascadia, it would become a dependency of California because California would be the natural market for Cascadia's products.

In some models I've seen Northern California is part of Cascadia.
