Hardly a criminal. What is criminal is the way a Canadian citizen was treated by our government.

From what I recall, Emery was selling into the US at a time when it was illegal to do so.

Morally right or wrong is irrelevant here; he took his chances and faced the consequences

A law is only as good as the support it has from the public. The pot laws are a sad
chapter in American and Canadian history. Emery went to prison for something that
is about to become totally legal It wasn't about justice it was about intimidation and
a demonstration of power. The trillions or billions spent on a war against drugs is the
biggest travesty of justice since prohibition another failed attempt at controlling the
desires of the masses. I don't use drugs never have expect for the demon rum of
course, but I have watched as our governments condemned young people to a life
of meaningless drivel by giving them a criminal record for pot and other soft drugs.
Now it is going to be legal in Canada and America in the near future and those same
young people will still be saddled with a criminal record for nothing.
There are a lot of people going to campaign for Trudeau and no I won't be one of them
but the Harper crowd could be in for a long tough ride to the polls

Emery went to prison for something that is about to become totally legal

Emery went to jail for breaking the law, for conspiring with others to break the law and counselling someone (an undercover agent) on how to break the law- he might have gotten away with that but he couldn't keep his stupid fat mouth shut.

I was down in Emery's hood today @ a taco joint across the street-the Welcome Home sign is still up in front of his 'headquarters' but other than that the business is quiet and locals tell me he hasn't been seen around the place at all.
