In the case of of the commonality between members here you should realize nothing is ever adequately discussed for those of us that deem most statements are out of context, or slants the meaning, in favor of the particular argument and always fails to make the initial point.Maybe two or three, they don't seem to realize their remarks say more about them than the person they are addressing! -![]()
sounds like politics in general. They will.... If it's not just before the election, it will be an election promise. That's all you need to know about Canadian politics
I don't have a problem with legalizing prostitution either.
Love how you throw in the word young though.
Create a red light district, get rid of pimps and tax the income from the girls.
Prostitutes income is supposed to be declared and taxed already. Prostitution is not illegal in Canada.

In Canada our current Government is gearing up for some hard core refer madness styled propaganda, In the hopes to scare voters away from the pot friendly liberal party.

That's 'reefer ' madness.
Thought you might wanna know... Unless you actually really did mean a reference-style madness
Canada hasn't had a conservative government or party for more than thirty years. AS a matter of fact Canada is a one party nation.
Justin Trudeau's pot plan: Are Conservatives blowing smoke?
THE FACTS
First, let's look at what Trudeau has said about legalizing marijuana.
Last summer, he came out in favour of legalization of the drug.

Yet two states in the US....the US has legalized it.
Canada is just way to conservative for pot.
Old folks don't like it but most from boomers below don't care or support it.
Pretty much! CROOKS -
There are so many important issues to be dealt with politically, that one has to wonder about the amount of time and effort being spent on marijuana. I would put it at about 50th in importance of issues to be dealt with. That in itself is an indication of the mentality of the man! -![]()
Well, the COnservatives are actually the ones making a huge deal of it. And the Emerys. Neither of which have anything to do with the Liberals.
I guess I haven't been paying close attention lately as I wasn't aware Harper was making a big deal about marijuana. Didn't Jr. recently make it clear that once he's the man, marijuana would be legalized. I'm guessing that for 90% of the population we're probably tired of the subject and don't really give a sh*t one way or the other if it's legalized or not. While I have to admit it does have medicinal qualities I would guess the majority of the population would do better NOT using it.
Trudeau did indeed make that clear. But the response by the Conservatives has been rather hysterical, with attack ads and attack pamphets and attack speeches on the issue. Reminiscent of Reefer Madness. I'm sure it ap[peals to their base, but the problem for teh Conservatvies is that their base is getting more loyal, but also more small. Much like gay rights, the rest of the population has moved on with pot.
The Emerys are wanting to jump on board with the Liberals because of their legalization position and because Marc Emery wants to exact revenge on Harper. Fortunately the Liberals are distancing themselves from the Emerys.
Myself, I support legalization of pot, just because I believe that people should be able to make their own decisions about these things.
As far as I'm concerned Emery is a Loser with a capital "L". It's not up to Marc Emery or anyone else not a citizen of the U.S. to be breaking another countries laws. If he doesn't like their laws no one is forcing him to live there. I honestly believe anyone who supports him is a little low in the I.Q. department.
