Not Quite. But one would need to know the history of the Taliban to understand who they are and how they came about.

But that would mean that you would have to give up the myth that Reagan (or the US) and the US supported the "Taliban" during the Soviet-Afghan War.

And you are as well... as these men were not the Taliban.
What part of this conflicts with that 'not quite'?
(in part)
History of Taliban
Following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, the Taliban emerged as a resistance movement aiming to eject the Soviet troops from Afghanistan. With the United States and Pakistan providing considerable financial and military support, the Afghan Mujahideen were able to inflict heavy losses on the Soviet troops. According to The New York Times, the Soviet Union lost about 15,000 soldiers in Afghanistan. In 1989, the Soviet troops withdrew from Afghanistan, and the Afghan Mujahideen, under the leadership of Ahmed Shah Massoud, surrounded the Afghan capital, Kabul, and took over the rule three years after the departure of the Soviets. The Afghan government that was backed by the Soviet Union and led by President Sayid Mohammed Najibullah was subsequently overthrown. The Mujahideen alliance forming the new Afghan government, led by Burhanuddin Rabbani as interim president, failed to reach political unity and ended up fighting one another (Matinuddin 12-16). VIDEO.
The Taliban was one of the Mujahideen factions that formed during the Soviet occupation and the internal fighting in Afghanistan. The Taliban emerged as a powerful movement in late 1994 when Pakistan chose the Taliban to guard a convoy trying to open a trade route from Pakistan to Central Asia. With Pakistan providing weapons, military training, and financial support, the Taliban gained control over several Afghan cities and successfully captured Kabul in September 1996. The Taliban continued to control most of Afghan territories with intermittent fighting with Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance, led by Ahmed Shah Massoud, the former defense minister under the coalition government led by President Burhanuddin Rabbani (Maley 1-9).

History of the Taliban

You mean 'this Taliban' wasn't in Texas? Wrong.

With you roaming the streets of cow town the whole city will be safe. Some black show-polish like the Hulkster wore would highlight the manly beard. Wait, isn't a beard a sign of being, you know, one of 'them'?

I wish you would... I don't want your kind to bread, it would lower the quality of the human race even further than your parents already did..
Unlike you spelling which show how high we would go following you. Breed, as in cattle.

Chicken hawk Lindsey Graham predicts an ‘American city in flames’ if Obama doesn’t go to war in Iraq

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned on Sunday that militants in Iraq and Syria would attack the U.S. mainland if President Barack Obama did not immediately take military action to stop them.

“I think of an American city in flames because of the terrorists’ ability to operate in Syria and Iraq,” Graham told Fox News host Chris Wallace. “Mr. President, you have never once spoke directly to the America people about the threat we face from being attacked from Syria, now Iraq. What is your strategy to stop these people from attacking the homeland?” The senior senator from South Carolina recommended a “sustained air campaign in Syria and Iraq.”

“Are you saying we should go back to war in Iraq?” Wallace wondered.

“I’m saying that Iraq and Syria combined represent a direct threat to our homeland,” he explained. “His responsibility as president is to defend this nation. If he does not go on the offensive against ISIS, ISIL — whatever you want to call these guys — they are coming here!”

The Taliban arrived on scene in similar fashion to ISIS. Mujahideen leaders had a choice, support it or die. Many if not most of the original Mujahideen fled or were probably killed.

Exactly!

Do you see folks? Do you get it?

I like what he says; "There may be moderate people, there is NO moderate Islam." So true, you never hear a peep of condemnation when Muslim Terrorist do something, from the Muslim community in the USA or Canada

We need this viewpoint in Canada, but it's turning to that realization slowly. Stop immigration of Islam to Canada and the USA.

A lot of it conflicts with facts but some of that was factual... like the Taliban coming onto the scene in 1994. That is when they made their appearance... in the mid-90s. And when they did show up they pretty much thumped the Mujhadeen that did defeat the Soviets.

From Wikipedia: "Hamas is designated as a TERRORIST organization by Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the European Union, Jordan, Egypt, Australia, and Japan." If you support the Palestinian Hamas that's been firing rockets into Israel for over a DECADE, then you're supporting TERRORISM!

It has been revealed that Britain has sent the SAS to Iraq as part of the mission to rescue Yazidi and Christian refugees.

So far Britain has just sent in aid drops of items such as water and lanterns, but the country has been criticised for not doing enough to help the Yazidis and Christians being forced out of their home by Muslim terrorists. Pressure on Mr Cameron increased when François Hollande, the French president, said his country would supply arms to Kurdish forces in Iraq.

So now the fact that the SAS have been sent in will be welcomed by those who want Britain to do more.

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the trade envoy to Iraq, disclosed that the SAS was on the ground in Iraq.

She said British special forces had been working with US troops for “six weeks or more”, raising the prospect that they could be involved in guarding civilians in a rescue operation.

Lady Nicholson told ITV News that the British special forces were already active in Iraq. She said she had attended a meeting with Gen Sir Peter Wall, the head of the British Armed Forces, and General Odierno, the head of the US armed forces, at the outbreak of the recent fighting.

“We are already providing some sort of military support. I believe the SAS, and certainly the US military, have been out there for six weeks or more.

“Actually, people are already there — our experts are already there, with the Americans, who are leading on this. And yes, I’m absolutely sure as much as possible must be done.”

The Prime Minister pledged to “get these people off that mountain” as he suggested that British helicopters could be used within days to save the Yazidi refugees “exposed, starving and dying of thirst” in temperatures of 122F.

He promised that Britain would join an international operation to get the refugees “to a place of safety”.

Britain has already sent as many as eight Tornado bombers to Iraq along with several Chinook helicopters. The Tornados are likely to check the ground for extremists before any rescue operation. The Chinooks could then airlift 50 people at a time to safety. RAF Chinooks have arrived at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.

SAS sent in to Iraq as US troops land on Mount Sinjar

David Cameron has suggested that British helicopters could be used within days as US forces deploy to herald start of rescue operation

Men of mystery: The fearsome reputation of Britain’s SAS troops led US generals to urge: “Keep them in Afghanistan – or the Taliban will take over.”

The SAS is on the ground in Iraq as part of the operation to rescue 30,000 “desperate” Yazidi refugees, it emerged on Wednesday, as US forces landed on Mount Sinjar.

American officials confirmed that a combined contingent of 20 US Marines, special forces and USAID disaster assistance experts had "briefly" landed on Mt Sinjar just hours after David Cameron pledged that Britain would help with the mission.

A senior Kurdish commander, confirmed seperately to The Telegraph that around 20 US soldiers had landed on the mountain. "They spent time with one of our doctors," he said.

A second Kurdish military source said the US forces had deployed to "do surveillance" and appeared to be bedding down for a longer operation.

A State Department spokesman told CNN: “They will be making a full assessment, they will be looking at possible airlift routes.

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the trade envoy to Iraq, has disclosed that the SAS was on the ground in Iraq.

“These air strikes are making it possible to set the stage for the rescue missions here.”

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, the trade envoy to Iraq, also disclosed that the SAS was on the ground in Iraq.

She said British special forces had been working with US troops for “six weeks or more”, raising the prospect that they could be involved in guarding civilians in a rescue operation.

The disclosure is likely to increase the pressure on Mr Cameron to recall Parliament for a debate on Britain’s involvement in Iraq and whether the Government has a “moral obligation” to do more.

Mark Field, a Tory MP and a member of the intelligence and security committee, urged the Prime Minister to “level with” the public about the extent of Britain’s involvement.

He warned that “substantial numbers” of Christians and other minorities would seek asylum in Western countries, including Britain, following the crisis.

Meanwhile US officials suggested that their soldiers may help the mission to rescue the Yazidis, if recommended by military advisers.

Mr Cameron broke off his holiday in Portugal early to chair a meeting of the government’s emergency Cobra committee.

Ministers have already sent as many as eight Tornado bombers to Iraq along with several Chinook helicopters. The Tornados are likely to check the ground for extremists before any rescue operation. The Chinooks could then airlift 50 people at a time to safety.

“Clearly there’s an absolutely desperate situation in Iraq, particularly on this mountainside,” Mr Cameron said.

“The first thing is to deal with this desperate humanitarian situation with people who are exposed, starving, dying of thirst on this mountainside.

“I am proud of the fact that British aeroplanes and British aid have been playing a role but we need a plan to get these people off that mountain and get them to a place of safety.

“I can confirm that detailed plans are now being put in place and are under way and that Britain will play a role in delivering them.”

However, the Prime Minister rejected calls from senior figures in all three parties and the former head of the Army to recall Parliament for a debate on air strikes or supplying arms to Kurds.

“This is a humanitarian operation that Britain is involved in,” he said. “I don’t think it’s necessary to recall Parliament for that. But of course I always keep this issue under review. Were this to change that’s something that could be done.”

Military sources warned on Wednesday that any rescue operation was likely to prove risky as helicopters would have to land on rough terrain and be surrounded by thousands of desperate refugees.

There is also the question of what would happen if British aircraft were attacked by Islamic extremists.

Military sources said the Chinooks and Tornados would be armed and could defend themselves if necessary.

Leading military figures including Lord Dannatt, the former head of the Armed Forces, and Col Tim Collins, the highly-respected veteran of the Iraq war, have called on Mr Cameron to recall Parliament to debate the Iraq crisis.

Mr Field warned that Britain would probably be drawn into a “long-term situation” in Iraq and could have to put “boots on the ground”. He told BBC Radio 4’s PM: “I think what is important is that our government needs to level with the British public about the potential extent of our future involvement.

“Probably this is going to be a long-term situation on the ground, probably we will have to play a role as part of a UN peacekeeping force in the time to come and, defence cuts permitting, we’ll be putting troops on the ground.”

Lady Nicholson told ITV News that the British special forces were already active in Iraq. She said she had attended a meeting with Gen Sir Peter Wall, the head of the Armed Forces, and General Odierno, the head of the US armed forces, at the outbreak of the recent fighting.

“We are already providing some sort of military support. I believe the SAS, and certainly the US military, have been out there for six weeks or more.

“Actually, people are already there — our experts are already there, with the Americans, who are leading on this. And yes, I’m absolutely sure as much as possible must be done.”

Her disclosure about the involvement of the SAS in Iraq appeared to be confirmed by Masrour Barazani, chancellor of the Kurdish security council.

He said that special forces have been operating in Erbil and providing military guidance to the Kurdish forces.

Pressure on Mr Cameron increased when François Hollande, the French president, said his country would supply arms to Kurdish forces in Iraq.

A fine example of why the West is great and Israel is 'so so'. All these 'refugees' would have been deemed to be Hamas and gunned down before reaching said safety.

Oh yeah!....no Joos for him to hate...Just muslims ......
. . . and how does that make you feel?

Is it like he is infringing on 'your territory'?

Can you can show the Muslims for who they really are even better than Colpy?

Do you feel like nobody really listens to you?
Just a sec, somebody at the door, . . . . .
