The elections in November might give us a hint as to who is going to get selected by both parties. I'll admit it's not looking particularly good for either one.
Al Qaeda seized the Iraqi city of Mosul yesterday. What will Obama do? Maybe he'll sue Al Qaeda or use the same approach he uses with Boko Haram, i.e., hashtags.
I'm thinking it might be better if he were to do nothing and let those A$$holes sort things out for themselves.

We should recognize that the world is changing before our very eyes. What's happening is breathtaking.
A new force has arisen in the world and is taking shape geographically. A series of events and processes have converged to create a new jihadi state in the middle east. It is the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. ISIS. It is a state much more zealous than Al Qaeda. As I type its forces are approaching Baghdad. The Iraqi Army is collapsing. The jihadi army is well trained and well armed. It is led by Abu Bakr al Baghdadi. He will take prisoners, but will promptly behead them. His writ runs from Aleppo in Syria to the outskirts of Baghdad in Iraq. The borders drawn by Sykes and Picot in the aftermath of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire are being erased.
President Obama doesn't seem to be conscious of what is happening. He can't think outside the box. The world is indeed being transformed, but not the way Obama had anticipated.
