Those are some pretty specific interests, so obviously you know who you want to vote for. There are lots of people in this country with differing views on these issues though. Just because someone represents a different group than you doesn't mean that they are stupid or bad at their job.

Correct again.

I do not think Mulcair is stupid OR bad at his job. Not that I would vote for him in a thousand years.

Unfortunately Justin is a moron.

The Prickly Curmudgeons see all.

Yes, yes we do.

Based on what?

Nobody has address the fact that the party is doing really really well under his leadership.

Fundraising, polls, by-elections. How does any of that mesh with your view of him?

Based on:

Budgets balance themselves.

Quebecers are better than other Canadians.

The problem with Canada is our PM is from out west, not Quebec.

The Chinese dictatorship (which has murdered more people since 1950 than any other regime in all the world's bloody history) is worthy of admiration...........

..................because of their work in turning the nation green (they open a new coal burning generating station every WEEK!!)

Putin is pissed because of hockey.

Calling barbarians barbarians is barbaric!!

The long gun registry is a failure, but I voted FOR it every single time.

Let's have a carbon tax!!

People of conscience on the abortion issue are not welcome in the Liberal Party.

Liberal senators are no longer Liberal senators (lol)

People can nominate who they wish....HA!!

The Supreme Court has ruled abortion is a woman's right.

Ralph Goodale has to stand for him in Parliament because he is so incompetent.

At the grand old age of 40, he managed to be a part time drama teacher, Wow.

He would support Quebec leaving Canada if the political winds do not blow his way.

When attacked by terrorists, the best response is look to their motives....HA!!

Claims to speak for the poor, unfortunate, persecuted middle class....of which he has never been part, and which is the richest in the world.

Rambles on about the necessity of addressing global warming.....drives a gas guzzling old sports car.

That is just off the top of my head.....I'm sure I could come up with more, given time....the guy is simply a complete waste of oxygen.

His popularity has no effect on my opinion of him, obviously.

I do trust in democracy....Canadians will wake up to his facetious, arrogant, entitled stupidity.

So you get all of your information from conservative party mailers?

So you have conceded the point??

Lol, no. A bunch of off hand remarks taken out of context really don't mean anything in terms of his intelligence and ability to lead.

Do you really think that would mean more than performance and results?

WHAT performance???

WHAT results??

He is not in power, so there are no results....unless you count polls, and as I ALWAYS say, there is only one of those that counts, and it is not for at least 15 months.

Oh, and only some of the things listed are off hand remarks. (Edit: I counted. Only three things on the list were "off-hand" comments)

Do you think that idiotic comments, even off-hand ones, are a sign of leadership ability??

BTW, the list of Trudeau Stupidities was off the top of my head.....and I usually watch CBC News.

The Prickly Curmudgeons see all.

I'm not prickly at all. If the Liberals had brought forth a viable leader who was try and tested like Frank McKenna I might have voted for them. This "silver spoon in mouth" child king will never get my support. He will be very bad for the country [not that he'll be PM] and a resounding disappointment to his supporters; much like Obama.

That is kind of funny, since Tory has the lowest "disapproval" rating of all of the major mayoral candidates.

Tory looks to be in exactly the same situation as the Liberal have been. He is trying to please everyone and has not identified a clear base to work on. Much of that is likely caused by Rob Ford's unclear presence in the race.

I agree.

Looks like he's trying to gain some identity with his transit plan.

Yes, yes we do.

Kid on a skateboard came up to me today and asked me for a dollar.

I told him to get a job.

That's gotta be at least 50 curmudgeon credits.

Socially his own man was retarded too, no appreciation for the common man, like the ones working the green chain or setting chokers or the school janitor- the ones ending up footing the bills for his arrogance and I rather suspect Junior's mother didn't teach him any different. The acorn don't fall far from tree! -:)

Former Liberal leadership contender Martha Hall-Findlay slammed Trudeau in a Huffington Post opinion piece Tuesday.
"Except in rare cases "¦ requiring any MP to vote in a particular way runs contrary to some of the basic tenets of our democracy," Hall-Findlay wrote.
Though Hall-Findlay says she's pro-choice, she still argues Trudeau's decision will keep good people from running for the Liberals.
Former Liberal MP Clifford Lincoln was also harshly critical of Trudeau's edict in an Montreal Gazette editorial.
"It is doctrinaire, judgmental and, in my modest view, the antithesis of liberalism," Lincoln wrote.
Criticism has also come from former Liberal MPs Jim Karygiannis and Tom Wappel, but when he was asked about what fellow Grits say about him Trudeau doubled down.
"I was glad to show leadership," he said.
Liberal MP Rodger Cuzner says Trudeau is simply trying to head-off abortion opponents who might seek Grit nominations - something the Campaign Life Coalition has said is underway.
"The leader said that if you're coming to our party thinking that you're going to advocate on one particular issue, whether it's abortion or you know, whatever it might be, then maybe you might want to rethink that," said Cuzner.
Meanwhile, Trudeau continues to come under fire for not condemning sex-selective abortion.
"I think anybody that's using their brain would say it's abhorrent to discriminate against girls in this way, to say that it's OK to just end a pregnancy strictly because it's a girl, they don't want a girl, they don't value girls," said Conservative MP Mark Warawa, who has tried to get Parliament to condemn the practice.

Sun News : Trudeau makes peace with McKay on abortion, faces new criticism

Funny....I have heard no moanings or seen signs of any angst whatsoever from the Conservative Party.

Mr. Fluffy shoots himself in the foot yet again.......

Again, if you go from trying to please everyone to trying to lay out a more clear and concrete vision, you are going to piss off a few people. That isn't the end of the world.

From the Huff Post

"Except in rare cases "¦ requiring any MP to vote in a particular way runs contrary to some of the basic tenets of our democracy,"
--Martha Hall-Findlay Former Liberal MP

"It is doctrinaire, judgmental and, in my modest view, the antithesis of liberalism,"
Former Liberal MP Clifford Lincoln

Liberal MP John McKay says on a recording obtained by CTV News that he thought Trudeau had a “bozo eruption” and didn’t think about what he said when he declared that anti-abortion candidates won’t be allowed to run for the Liberals. He added that it “scares the hell” out of him that Trudeau’s brain trust could have thought this through without realizing how much of a “toxic issue” this is.

Are you under the impression that Trudeau just invented the idea of a whipped vote?

WHAT performance???

WHAT results??

He is not in power, so there are no results....unless you count polls, and as I ALWAYS say, there is only one of those that counts, and it is not for at least 15 months.

He hasn't had a chance at a general election yet, but he already has results in term of by-elections, fundraising, and yes, polls.

Even if you discount polls, the fundraising is still huge. By election results are huge. The party is in much much better shape than before he took the reins.

Oh, and only some of the things listed are off hand remarks. (Edit: I counted. Only three things on the list were "off-hand" comments)

There is no way that you got some of that stuff from CBC. Some of that has been summarily discredited by every reputable news organization.

I mean, you put the whole "Quebecers are better" thing right at the top, and everyone knows that was him talking about his father's views in a documentary years before he was an MP. The chopping of the tape would be funny if some people didn't believe it.

The very first one "Budgets balance themselves." is written as if that was the complete sentence, but again, they chopped up a statement to remove any context and misrepresent his statement.

This is straight out of the conservative attack ads. The only "news" organization that reports this stuff the way you seem to understand it is Sun News.

If the Liberal fund raising is going so well are they going to pay back any money they owe the Canadian people ?

Trudeau called 'the antithesis of liberalism'.

Conservatives complain.

2 + 2 = 5
