You know who has really low intelligence? Those who pay for studies like this.

If you are trying to market your product, it pays to know your target. If you're trying to reduce smoking, it helps to understand the circumstances around people's decision to smoke

... And where do the buyers of lottery tickets fit into this?

Somewhere between a vegetable and a bag of hammers?

Lotto ticket buyers, while not all that smart, are usually not addicted...at least nowhere near the level of tobacco users

I think it is pretty intuitive that a group of people spending a ton of money on something that really only shortens and lowers the quality of your life is going to skew towards lower intelligence.

So the question is whether it's moral to tax stupid people. Do we find ways to tax people with severe learning disabilities and where do we draw the line?

That would be us taxpayers.
