Just heard on C.B.C. radio that about 1/2 the students in University are cheating while less than 21/2% get punished for it. Hope they are not going in for brain surgering!

Cheating is really a reflection on our society. Education is a huge investment and no one
wants to fail it costs too much money to fail. There are others who socialize and count
on cheating to make up for their lack of study. Others cheat cause everyone does it.
We are going to pay for this down the road. The moral fiber is slipping and the clouds are
going to spew acid and all hell is going to break loose.
The real problem is cheating has gone on since the beginning of time and partly why our
society is like all the others before

You just ain't whistlin' Dixie- the people who are supposed to set examples like the M.P.s, the M.L.A.s, the cops, the judges are the epitome of corruption.

What was the question they asked? I don't know what the exactly what they asked in the study you are talking about, but often these studies ask things like "have you ever cheated" or "have you ever done anything dishonest". Does that number include people who admit to once copying an answer from a friend for a homework assignment, or are they implying that half of students are regularly doing stuff like bringing crib notes into exams?

I'm not absolutely sure but I did take it to mean chronic and habitual cheaters!

WHich is why things in general are so messed up. We put a bunch of clowns with diplomas in charge on the dubious bet that the degrees were earned. Rather than hiring people with experience that know of what they speak.
Even the politician that comes out with a really stupid statement probably had it written for him by a kid with a degree in political science.

You definitely have that right, some of the ones you speak are suffering from "dropsy and heart fever". -:)
