Indeed it did, bill.

Quite the leap up the standings in just a couple of days for our Olympians. Can't believe we are actually ahead of the US and now they won't get Gold in hockey.......it is all good.

Yep, it IS all good for Canada, but I.M.H.O. it's not really a fair system. Gold is worth everything as far as counting in the standing while Silver and Bronze is worth nothing- that's not right.

Well, the other medals count as a tie breaker.

I guess I'm a bit disappointed in that this should have been for the gold medal: the USA was the best executing team in the tournament and Canada the most talented. The schedulers screwed it up, but I know they were hoping for a Russia vs Canada/USA gold medal game. Too bad the KHL propaganda dream fell on its face... :p

Canada and Russia in the gold medal game would have been really cool. The matchups were not a result of someone trying to set up certain games though. The brackets are determined by performance in the preliminary round.

My living room window which looks out onto Hawkins Road. Go Canada!
:canada:

Looks like a most welcoming, down to earth home miss. Can't stand that ethan allen/ikea look or the people that live amongst that crap.

By the way, nobody likes that gaynor the gopher guy. Just sayin'.

p.s. What's with the brown stick-chick hiding in that pot?

Yes I did. I was not alone in that belief - But as you state it was in jest, I can go with that. I have no reason to doubt your honesty.

I'm not so sure about that. I find it hard to believe many people would take that seriously. You gotta lighten up.

Too effin bad. I was appalled at my daughter's first soccer tournament. Her team sucked and lost every game yet all of her teammates received a trophy just as big as the team members of the winning team. She was 7 years old and as soon as she got home I asked her where she was going to put her trophy, she said it doesn't matter because it wasn't special and it would only remind her of losing all those games.

If everyone is special no one is special.
