We have "Goodwin's law".....for comparisons to Hitler....
It's "Godwin's Law," genius.

There should be a name for those who cry racism for any and all reasons...
Oh yeah....they are called "progressives" .......

The very definition of racism is treating similarly situated people differently because of their races. Now, persons "similarly situated" to President Obama would be other Presidents and Presidential candidates.

So, did these "birthers" raise hell over Romney's birth? Demand to see documents, and then declare the documents forged? How 'bout McCain? Dole? Clinton (either one)? Bush (either one)? Reagan? Dukakis?

Why, no. No, they did not.

Now, what do the Clintons, the Bushes, Dukakis, McCain, Dole, Gore, and Romney all have in common that's different from Obama.

I believe the term you would be searching for if you had a measurable IQ is quod erat demonstrandum.

Yes the difference is there is no question as to the birth place of any of the above . Where is the racism in that ?

There's no question as to the birth place of Obama, except in the minds (and I use the term very loosely) of the birfer racists.

.
You refer to Mike Godwin in 1990 all you like.....
I'm referring to Professor Goodwin in 1981........you genius you... /nitpicking spell-checker?

Urban Dictionary: Goodwin's law

In 1981, U of I Professor Goodwin made the observation that Usenet discussions gravitate downhill.

He postulated that as the length of a discussion thread grows, the probability approaches one (1) that one participant will introduce the terms "Hitler" or "
Nazi".

The custom has evolved that the first party to utter "Hitler" or "Nazi" has lost the discussion, and the thread terminates.

Goodwin's Law has been invoked, guys. I'm out of this thread.

Good look in the mirror .
I, of course, have demonstrated exactly how birfers are racists (and therefore stupid). You have done no such thing with regard to me. Therefore, your comments amount to screaming "No, YOU'RE a racist!"

Something a moderately bright eight-year-old is too smart and mature to do.

No you haven't . You have demonstrated that anyone who disagrees with you is beneath your contempt . How is it looking down on the unwashed masses ?

Yes, I have. I've demonstrated that Obama has been treated differently from the last dozen or so white Presidential candidates. If you care to refute that, I'm listening.

Or just keep screaming "No! No! YOU'RE the racist!"

You have demonstrated that anyone who disagrees with you is beneath your contempt .
Quite the contrary, I have excellent relations with many people with whom I regularly disagree. Cap'n Morgan, Cliffy, Goober, Petros, Colpy, just for starters.

How is it looking down on the unwashed masses ?
Better'n being down among 'em. Stinks less. How is it being one of the unwashed masses?

McCain would not provide his birth certificate.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/05/john_mccains_birthplace.html

As I reported earlier, the McCain campaign has declined to publicly release the senator's birth certificate. But a senior campaign official showed me a copy of his birth certificate issued by the "family hospital" in the Coco Solo submarine base. (McCain's grandfather commanded the Coco Solo Naval Air Station in 1936; his father was the executive officer of a submarine based in Coco Solo.)

The birth certificate was signed by Captain W. L. Irvine. I have now checked that name against the Naval Register for 1936, and I find that William Lorne Irvine was director of the medical facility at the submarine base hospital in Coco Solo, Panama Canal Zone, during that time period. You can see the entry here. I think this effectively disposes of any remaining doubts that McCain was born inside the Canal Zone.

My neighbour Henry says his paternal grandmother didn't have a birth certificate either. All she had to do was put her X on the old-age-pension application to qualify. If an X was good enough for the Canadian government, I don't know why McCain couldn't simply put his X on an affidavit declaring he was a real American.
