I don't see the point of that. I don't see it as a BC vs Alberta thing.
Why don't you bitch about BCs open pit copper mines or BC frakking up at FSJ?

Pretty and NO reclamation.

The Kitimat smelter that killed everything in the 'pristine" Douglas Channel 40 years ago that everyone is so worried about there being a bitumen spill?

Who is Neil Young is his somebody important??

Yawn.... Who cares what some hippie has to say, does he drive a car, use plastic items in his house, TV, Tupperware, wear clothes... Then I guess he buys OIL byproducts from the same source as the rest of North America..

I have said it in the past, it totally unrealistic to just cut off our sources of oil but at the same time we should be developing alternative energy, get tax credits to make our homes solar or geothermal
YAWN! Nothing was ever said about cutting off the project. I believe the idea is to use the resource wisely and share the benefits. Sucking it out and selling it off fast just makes multi-billionaires out of mere billionaires.

Sucking it out fast? Is ten future generations earning good money considered fast? It only takes 8 years for the average shlub to make his first million.

I read his book, Waging Heavy Peace, largely because it was given to me as a gift.. but i seem to remember buying some his records back in the early 70s.. and consider him a gifted (at times) songwriter and artist.

Anyway the book was a kind of bizarre hodge podge of sentiment drenched reminiscences, incoherent technological, social and philosophical speculations, and notes on a luxurious, classic car obsessed, lifestyle in California and Hawaii.. absolutely none of which recommend him as qualified or competent to address the issues of oil sand development in Canada.. i mean its not like he needs the jobs it provides to feed his family.

So he should stick to things he has a talent for.

Hit the nail on the head with that one CS.

They've got their stacks... they can afford to be out on the fringes.
