a) A crack-smoking hell raiser who kept taxes down, made public services more efficient and otherwise kept his grubby fingers out of your business?

b) A squeaky clean do-gooder who, confident in his own moral probity, felt justified in trying to micromanage every last detail of your affairs with more taxes, regulations and codes.

For me, it’s a no brainer.

It is a no brainer for any real libertarian, as apposed to those that pretend to be, and anyone who actually has a functioning brain that can see through the hypocrisy and other absurd media manure that elitists think actually means something.

Remember that it was you and other people first complaining about how the media was too hard on him. Well, the fact is they have to act the way that they do because he refuses to speak to them in the normal way every other politician would.

If he wants to deal with the media this way, that is his choice, but it forces the media to do these things if they want to do their job, so he can't really complain about it.

There's one more dimension here that needs consideration, which probably supersedes what he has or has not done. We know the media are by and large a bunch of bottom feeders and Ford no doubt knows that too and he could just be "playing games" with them over stuff he might consider to be none of their business. While I'm sure Ford needs help, I'm "on the fence" as far as drawing any other conclusions about him is concerned. I've always considered "lying" be a misnomer as far as giving accurate information to someone whom it is none of their business.

There is nothing flexible about what I have said. I never complained about Ford smoking weed, nor anyone else.

What is worrisome is a man who has so little control over his substance abuse that he has repeatedly shown up to public events intoxicated and by his own admission got so drunk that he decided to smoke crack.

This isn't really based on what Ford said. It was the chief of police who really confirmed it for everyone. We have statements from many many people close to him that detail concerns with substance abuse and general dysfunctional behavior that stemmed from it. Most of Ford's public statements have just been to "admit" to things that were already made very apparent through other sources.

The chief of police and three different reporters have viewed the tape and all came to the same conclusion as to what was on that tape.

This specific allegation, about if he smoked crack on that video or not, isn't really something that he can be charged for, so that isn't really the test of if it is true or not.

What we do have are the reporters, the chief of police, the police reports documenting attempts to retrieve the tape, on top of the fact that Rob admitted to it.

Yeah, reminds me of when I found out Rob Halford, the singer form Judas Priest, was gay. He liked to wear lots of leather and rev is Harley up on stage. We were all shocked he was a gay but then after a minute we're like "Oh, that explains a lot..."
