No, the ignoramus is you. My statement is not untrue. I have been told that exact thing time and time again. "If you want to "remember" civilians, then do it on another day."
The only one stamping their feet and crying, is you, and possibly colpy and bl.
Whatever, I tried talking nicely to you, but your a ****ing idiot on this subject swearing at people because you disagree with them whining. Well piss on your white Poppy and the bunch of out of touch idiots who have the LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME MENTALITY.

It's what I expect from you, so no surprise.
I just hope that those who passed the 1865 Thirteenth Amendment aren't turning in their graves at the moment.Still wrong. Why does that not surprise me.
Same year as UK. With the same conditions.

Well you shouldn't fly an American flag in your avatar then. But, despite that, you are still wrong. Slavery wasn't abolished in Canada until 1833, when the British abolished it throughout the Empire. That's 26 years after it was abolished in Britain.I am Canadian.
I'd wear both if I could find a white one.

That doesn't mean that the civilains that were slaughtered weren't innocent Colpy. Which is of course, Gh's point.
and if I could find a white one it would be right beside the red one I have on.
Hardly, it's what you try to pull out of people when they don't agree with you.
Freedom to be an arsehole.
Now that is a sensible option.

Although at least the complaint of bombing civilian populations has some merit, allow me to give you a history lesson in point form:
1. In World War One, Germany was left untouched. The unfortunate result of the fact that your average German citizen did not witness nor suffer the effects of the war was their willingness to believe they were not really beaten, their ability to be taken in by the "stabbed in the back" myth, which was a direct cause of their willingness to go in for Round Two in 1939.
2. Like it or not, in industrial total war, civilian populations are an integral part of the war machine.........they provide the manpower of industry, which is the essential factor in building a modern military.
3. As for the atomic bombings in Japan, a simple weighing of the options was necessary. Invade, 1 million dead Allied soldiers, tens of millions of dead Japanese. Bomb, 200,000 dead Japanese, peace. Take your pick. There was no third option.
