2016, guys.

That's when the US is suddenly no longer top dog, then it'll be the Americans basking in the "glory" of their yesteryear.

Although I wouldn't say America's period as top dog was anyway near as glorious as Britain's.

We had Cecil Rhodes; Clive of India; Nelson; Wellington; Captain Cook; General Gordon; and Lord Cardigan ordering the Light Brigade to go on a suicide mission against a Russian artillery battery .

The Americans had Dubya.

The Swiss have one up on ya. They never attacked anyone.

And now you've got David Cameron, Victoria Beckham, and. . . well. . . you.

And the Light Brigade mostly survived. It was the Heavy Brigade that was wiped out.

Good thing you have the Yanks to teach you your own history and literature, eh?

Just out of curiosity, are they still plucking cattle off the ranges and mutilating them down wind of the Nevada test site?

Can you point out anything innaccurate in what I said?

Has me saying that China is about to overtake the US as the world's biggest economy taken you by surprise?

I find it hilarious that someone has just written that the Chinese are very reliant on the great and mighty US, when in actual fact China will have a larger economy than the US from 2016 onwards.

Not to mention the fact that China's population is already four times that of the US.

Soon it'll be the Americans and everyone else relying on China in a Chinese-dominated world. Just as in London, America's great stores in their great cities will have to rely on their Chinese customers to survive.

You can't tell them they aren't #1 any more they simply have no capacity for reality facts or history. You are lucky you don't live beside them, we've had to endure almost sixty years of their crummy TV and stupid elections and constant unremitting horn blowing and high fiven.

Just out of curiosity, are they still plucking cattle off the ranges and mutilating them down wind of the Nevada test site?

...We had...Lord Cardigan ordering the Light Brigade to go on a suicide mission against a Russian artillery battery...

Cardigan misread his orders. Instead of attacking a minor Russian force appropriate to his brigade, he charged into the Russian main force. Lord Cardigan screwed up. If I were you I would not mention him again.

If you wish to address British martial valor I suggest you turn your attention to Lord Frederick Roberts at the Battle of Peiwar Kotal. His brilliant "right hook" during the Second Anglo-Afghan War was a night march through terrible terrain. He came upon the Afghan rear by surprise, fell upon them, and slaughtered the Afghans with minor loss of British and Sepoy life. That is something to admire.

What other problems do the Chinese have except for an upcoming revolution from the streets.
China will be grey before they are rich.
What is the average income in China.
Banks are loaded with bad debt- same as the provinces and cities.

I'm not talking about GDP per capita. I'm talking about total GDP.

China will have a bigger economy than the USA by 2016. The 21st century will be China's century, just as the second half of the 20th century was America's and the 19th and early 20th centuries were Britain's.

Well there you have it folks!

He's an old bitter brit longing for the days gone by.

This admission explains so much... not that we didn't know already.

What? You mean he spends all this time and effort denigrating others because he's feels so inferior? Say it ain't so!

Who me? lol

As if, lol.

You know, I find behaviour and psychology fascinating, I really do. Absolutely at the amateur level of course, I don't claim anything more, but when you see actual textbook cases unfolding before your own eyes, it's kind of mind blowing!
