Racist leftard showing his true colors

No, Yank. I worked for the justice department there and I know what is going on. You are unable to separate culture from race. Comes from living in a country where so much is racial.

And more deflection on his post...
reading comprehension too

Note in colpy's article....Notes: Homicide includes Criminal Code offences of murder, manslaughter and infanticide.
nothing about starvation

So? I didn't criticize the article. The things you have listed are crimes. Is starving to death a crime where you live?

Northern Ontario,
A host of leaders before you have thought the same way – concentrate all power and they can accomplish wonders. Hitler, Stalin, Ceausescu, Idi Amin, Pol Pot and a long list of other tribal chieftains in Africa. Democracies seem too inefficient for some people. Any ideas on how you’re going to talk this democracy into amending the constitution?

Another example of a false argument. Those are not the people who are doing most of the killing.

A “research assistant”? Oh well, why didn’t y’all say so?

Relevant data only, Colpy.

I have lived there. Nunavut also has the safest streets in Canada. The violence happens in homes when the Inuit get under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The Inuit culture is inherently violent. Guns are not the primary cause of death. Until about the 1980’s the most common cause of death in the Arctic was starvation.

To which I added a comment of historical interest.

Why is this posted in a gun control debate? The police voice answered the phone saying, "Oregon State Police". This apparently happened in the land of the handgun despite all the claims that guns prevent crime.

Follow your own advice......

And you seem to be the only one who doesn't find his post relevant.8O

She didn't have one.

Shame that.

Guns save lives.

The meme is that some stalwart soul with a gun will come to the rescue of victims of crime (provided they don't get in a gunfight with each other. Or is that the part nobody's figured out yet?). Looks like the theory needs some work?

The meme is that every adult person is responsible for their own defense..........and that is best done with a firearm.

Funny. I didn't hear me threaten any violence, I didn't express a desire to harm anyone. Or so I thought.

So Sanch, I guess you don't like the entire concept of civil disobedience?

Or is it only for anti-poverty activists that aren't getting enough of my tax dollars for sitting around with their thumb stuck up their ****?

Or is it only for native peoples, who haven't yet been handed the whole damn country on a silver platter?

Or is it only for guys with seven inch spiked purple mohawks and enough steel in their face to rebuild the Bonaventure? (for Juan, who is probably the only soul here who knows what the Bonaventure was)

Or is it only for folks you agree with?

God forbid a working, middle aged, conservative white guy start talking civil disobedience! Call out the SWAT team!

BTW, doesn't anyone want to talk about the opening post I put so much work into? (sniff) :(

Colpy you old dog! :) We use to chat on a website that's gone now.."Politics Canada" was the name I think but ytondou're still fighting the good fight I see.

Since we last chatted I've gone through three 45's, a Para GI Expert, a Colt model 70, a Kimber all in 45, and still have my CZ-75.

None of my guns have been stolen or used for criminal purpose nor have they grown legs and started hanging around "after-hours" clubs. Good to see you still active!

Feel free to disobey, but you should fully understand the concept of civil disobedience. The function of civil disobedience is not to benefit the individual but to benefit society. In North America one of the prominent exponents of civil disobedience was Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau’s theory of civil disobedience was such that it should be researched carefully by anybody planning civil disobedience while armed. Thoreau said the essence of civil disobedience was that the person disobeying be punished according to law for his acts. Otherwise the unjustness of the law never gets brought fully to public notice. Armed lawbreakers risk being dealt with more harshly than unarmed lawbreakers. As long as you’re willing to pay the piper there’s nothing wrong with calling the tune. I trust that you explain that fully to those you encourage?

Or is it only for anti-poverty activists that aren't getting enough of my tax dollars for sitting around with their thumb stuck up their ****?

Sounds like an extremist mentality, the kind of thinker who would advocate hate against an entire religion. Not very well informed either. The notion that all anti-poverty activists are people who sit around as the author describes rings of bigotry.

Or is it only for guys with seven inch spiked purple mohawks and enough steel in their face to rebuild the Bonaventure? (for Juan, who is probably the only soul here who knows what the Bonaventure was).

Juan must be a nice guy. I’ve sailed with the Bonnie. How about you?

An interesting thing about extremist conservatives is the ones who are blue collar, like armoured car guards. They are the ultimate slaves to the upper class. They strut around armed, willing to be shot and hoping to do some shooting while protecting wealthy men’s purses. For what? Prestige? A guy wearing a blue shirt and a handgun gets no prestige for packing a gun in Canada. For contributing to society? What contribution does he leave behind him? For respect? When a board of directors meets to decide pay issues for the company who do you think will be paid more at the end of the day – union workers who are able to meet the board eye to eye, or employees of some contractor’s money wagon? Common sense says guys like this should be solidly in left field. They have no economic leverage. They have no capital invested in the company as part of their job. They are no more appreciated than janitors. Unless they are working under a collective agreement they spend their lives being used – worked as much as possible and paid as little as possible with no more gratitude than you’d give a gate guard. Their admiration for moneyed bosses is a cultural and political embarrassment harkening back to the Middle Ages, when retainers hired by noblemen were given chargers, swords and bright uniforms to make them feel more important than the peasantry.
