No kidding... putting barricades up on open air memorials. The WWII Memorial is practically a cut-through when you walk down the Mall in D.C.

I don't get why repubs are all upset with the president. Wasn't it the congress that shut down the government? Wasn't it the far right that forced the issues? Sounds like a bunch of spoiled brats couldn't get their way so they are holding the rest of the country hostage while holding their breath until they turn blue. 80+ year old WWII vets from Mississippi where supposed to just cancel their planned vacation and "stay away" because the Administration is having a temper tantrum.
