It's perfectly acceptable to discriminate against people based on their adherence to leftist ideology.
That is correct. Or any other ideology. I've had people consult me because they were discriminated against because of their political beliefs. It takes time and effort to get it through their thick skulls that there is no law forbidding discrimination based on political belief, position, or affiliation.

I agree. But the application of this rule becomes problematic when applied to African Americans who are politically monolithic.

They go in the boot (trunk, to Yanks).

Only to cook.

We use the word "trunk" up here in the frizzen North as well.

Boot is an antiquated term used in the UK.

It originated when British mobsters could get the dead body in the Mini...................all but the boots.

monolithic

Pronunciation: /mɔnəˈlɪθɪk/
adjective

  • 1formed of a single large block of stone: later Byzantine columns were monolithic and usually made of marble
  • (of a building) very large and characterless: IPC moved the paper from Covent Garden to the monolithic King’s Reach Tower
  • Electronics (of a solid-state circuit) composed of active and passive components formed in a single chip: a video converter on a single monolithic chip
WTF are you talking about ? 8O

Sorry, but it sounds like you are saying you want to discriminate against blacks, but since that's not allowed you prefer to say you're discriminating against liberals so you can get them that way.

That would be similar to the way Black only clubs/organizations, or any other minority, "discriminate" against "whites".

I doubt they have any at mine. If they do they are really quiet about it.

and which university is that?

First of all most education institution have clubs both on and off campus.
I think there should be a policy that is based on qualifications not race.
In contrast how many white Black Panthers do you see? Granted in
reality, they are not a college organization. The BP is merely a reference
to a group of specific interest.
people will join groups where they have an interest. Sometimes that does
fall into an all white or an all black interest core.
complicated situation but not necessarily a racist one.

My dearest spade (what a pretentious twerp)

YOU made the statement that "REAL" Universities don't have Frats, I list a few "REAL" universities and then all you can come up with is 2 universities on the prairies which banned them and are now reversing that ban. It kinda flys into your own statement when your defense is not even a defense.

As to the op, this is a prime example of reverse discrimination. All Black, all Hipanic, etc Frats are allowed on campus with the accompanying discrimination. Regardless of what Tecumseh has said, I believe that if/when whites apply for membership in these Frats they will be turned down. They may not be honest with the reason, but only an idiot would think it was anything other than the colour of their skin. Kinda like only an idiot would miss the pretentiousness and facetiousness of the "My Dearest" salutation in spades reply to me.

Sigh.
I realise its full moon phase, Gerry, but please try to be a little civil , and to stay on topic, that's a good fellow.....

Why should he have to?

Look, I've been on this board for 9 years now. My posting style has not changed one iota in those 9 years. Why should I change it now? If someone doesn't like the way I rub them, then put me on ignore if they can't just "ignore" what I have to say or how I say it. It's not like I'm a new user or I have suddenly become an a$$hole.
