That's odd. I have a string of 25th and 50th anniversaries to go to over the next 3-4 years.Every time I hear someone is getting married, I think: somewhere there is a divorce lawyer having a wet dream.

Divorce rate's about 45% in the U.S. That's pretty good odds. That's odd. I have a string of 25th and 50th anniversaries to go to over the next 3-4 years.

Geez, how about people don't succumb to some weird societal/peer pressure, marry only if and when they are ready and want to, and then push nobody off a cliff. Is that really too much to ask?
Just to be on the safe side though, maybe we should fill in all the canyons and really deep holes.
That makes a change. It's usually the woman who the courts give everything to during a divorce, no matter what.
It's like the old joke: "Why get married? Why not just find a woman you hate, and give her your house?"

No, she doesn't. We agreed on the split without spending thousands on liars, er, I mean lawyers. Not if his ex has a lawyer.

until I get all the assets and he takes all the debt...I don't really have debt so it would have to be long enough for me to spend up a storm...How much is " a bit"?

I have heard of people arguing right down to tins of soup in the cupboards...sometimes lawyers fire clients, I didn't know that, but they do.
