It's DOuglas Channel, not Douglas Arm. Ever been there? I work up there and believe me there is lots of room for ships. As I have stated before my preference would be farther down the channel towards Millbank Sound but that would requite another 40 or so miles of pipe. The LNG plants are being built right now in Kitimat. Mostly I think because the infrastructure is already there.

Whatevs--Douglas Channel, Kitimat Arm. I've been there lots. I've been to Kitimat lots. I've been to Hartley Bay. Lots of room for a fishing vessel isn't the same as lots of room for a VLCC, particularly with LNG tankers navigating the same straits. Another concern is cuts to emergency response, such as the cutting of the Environemtn Canada oil spill response team in Vancouver.

The company may come back with a proposal to just use Panamax tankers, which would be better. Especially containerized ones.

He will face more trouble for the northern pipeline than from just the aboriginals. The majority of BCers are against it. The Feds have no business trying to force their agenda down our throats and that will be make adamantly clear.

One who has no contact with normal people other than on an internet forum just has to be a spokesperson:roll:
The hinterland of BC has overspoken Vancouver and area before. The last election was a good example. The majority of BCers have a way of making a non hippee point.

Bozos who think it is their right to rape and pillage their grandchildrens heritage are not welcome. A quick buck for long term loss it just plain idiotic. The oil and gas pipelines will devastate this province and our shorelines. Greed is going to do us all in.

If that's true...........yay oil sands

I'll stick with my point-of-view that there are better ports for large oil tankers, and, if the government was serious about its commitments, they wouldn't have gutted their environmental legislation." quote Zipper

so how many hundreds of Webo Ludwigs do you want to create out there, CM?

Fill yer boots bud... The 'Weibos' of the world aren't the only ones that can take action.

I never ceases to amaze me of the attitude that all progress and development should come to a screeching halt, but only after folks like yourself have established your comfortable life and existence that is the end result of the very rape and pillaging of the very environment that you defend so vigorously

Well, it ain't just me, for one thing. For another thing, it ain't your province. I want high paying jobs too. But I also want to leave the planet in decent shape for my kids. It's not al about money. DO it right and I don't have a problem. Try to convince me with dumb commercials that you're serious about the environment when it's obvious you aren't ain't selling.
