I have been seated in a new restaurant that we are trying. Menus have been delivered for perusal. I then head to the bathroom for a check. It's a good first indicator, not infallible but if it looks questionable you can bet the kitchen is not up to the best standard...we are outta there and it has happened more than once.Yuck! Lol.
A few years ago we had a restaurant here in the city that was inspected and the discoveries made the papers. I don't remember all the things but I do recall something about a turkey being defrosted on the toilet, blah! That was enough to put me off. Since then, there has been a concerted effort on the part of the city to ramp up their inspections. I won't lie, when I see that green piece of paper in the window of restaurants, I feel a little better.
I strongly suspect that if you were a resident of the Six Nation's on the Grand River, you'd be 'fighting back".![]()

With rights come responsibilities.
I have no issue with this food truck/shack, but if they are serving the public, however, there is a big issue with liability in the food services business.
If the Six Nation's want to operate restaurants, good by me - I can make the decision to go or not.... However, if their service to the public results in harm, then are they prepared to deal with lawsuits from patrons or perhaps the health system that is forced to deal with their deficiencies after the fact?

So you are prepared to shut down the OPP's best undercover operation against the Mohawk Warriors insurgency?? Lot easier to hold the thin blue lines when the militants are off firing 'bum bullets'.
Who's side you on, anyway, CM?![]()

If the govt wants to pay me a salary I will gladly go and run a dozer for the 5 minutes it would take to level the place.

Apparently it goes good with 7-UP but I doubt it would last long around there.

It is in Canada so I think it is Canada's role to lay down the law!In all seriousness, the Rez has over ten thousand residents, with another 15,000 'off Rez'. Do you RELLY think its' 'Whiteys' role to walk in and 'lay down the law", on the local governance?
