I understood he fought/commanded 13 or so major battles and lost all except for Yorktown???
I'd have to say that is not so... the Battle of Trenton he won. Assunpink Creek is another.
But, in the end, you still can't claim USA real estate.
WHo exactly are you calling the Irish? The people currently in Ireland? the Celts? or the people that were there even before the Celts?
The Irish invaded and colonised Britain way before the British did the same in Ireland. Where do you think the Scots come from? Irish raiders and settlers caused so much trouble along the British coast when the Romans were in Britain that the Romans called those Irish raiders "Scotti", meaning "pirates/raiders". Eventually these Scotti settled along the jagged coastline and islands of northwest Britain. After several centuries they unified with the Picts to their north and east and formed a kingdom which they gave their name to - Scotland.
When the Queen visited Ireland a few years ago an Irish historian on Sky News commented that its "an inconvenient truth" for Irish republicans and nationalists that the Irish invaded and settled Britain long before the British invaded and settled Ireland.
Just don't mention it to those kahki-wearing, balaclava-clad Irish republican gorillas, though, or they might plant a bomb to the underside of your car.
Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad I don't live there.
But whether the USA is a republic or not, the British kicked their asses in the War of 1812. All of our objectives and aims were met but not one of theirs was.

Apart from the 13 original colonies, of course, which are still rightfully ours.

The kingdom was called '
Albion'.
However,to get back on topic, the NA Sots came form the'highland clearances..."
Which brings us back to 'Scottish land ownership'
BL, do YOU EVER STICK TO THE TOPIC?
You got your butts kicked... topped off with a huge beating in New Orleans that the Brits don't like to count because someone didn't get the word.
The word was 'bring Scottish wildcats or your invasion is doomed'
Big uns...Jackson had
"pumas'...

Back to the topic...
You only "won" because the American colonies were relatively unimportant to Great Britain and she had more pressing concerns than fighting a bunch of farmers with pitchforks - namely Old Boney's nefarious activities in Europe. So we just gave you your independence so we could deal with the more important matter of defeating Boney.
Actually, as Alf has demonstrated repeatedly, he can not only say it, he can believe it with every atom of his receding chin and lousy teeth. Why would what Napoleon was doing matter? The American Revolution ended five years before the French Revolution began and well over a decade before Napoleon took power. You cant say Britain lost because they were too busy fighting a war that hadnt yet started.

That 6 year old Corsican had England up in arms during the American Revolution!
The Queen might be the Head of State of Australia, but no way does she or Britain own it.
As long as Scotland finally rids themselves of England
George Washington lost every battle he fought, except the last one.
That proves what a bad military leader he was.
No she doesn't. That is why I insisted you learn what "the Crown" is.She owns all of the 16 countries of which she's Head of State, including
Australia. I've already explained that.

I'm a shareholder in the Canadian assets of "The Crown" which is a company operating out of the City of London. Your share is in the assets of the UK.I know full well what the Crown is. The Crown is merely another way of referring to the monarchy. Canada is owned by the Crown - the monarchy.
