hopefully this will contribute to calming the race issue somewhat, from Zimmerman's perspective anyway.
If Zimmerman is any kind of a human, guilty or not, that night will bother him for the rest of his life....Call it instinct on my part but that deadpan look on his face when they read the verdict,...............
Thirty years ago during a midnight mass, first, a power failure, then a woman falls across the aisle....less than a minute or later, I'm kneeling besides her performing cpr by candle light for about 15 minutes until the ambulance arrives, then the two attendants ask me to go with them to do two man CPR while one drives.
We get to the hospital and I back off into a corner of the emergency room while the Doctor works at it for another ten or fifteen minutes before he pronounces her dead.
At the time, I questioned myself, and wondered if I had done anything wrong, but couldn't think of anything I had done wrong, until I get a call from the hospital, that they want to see me......now I'm really worried...
When I get there, not only do they not think I did anything wrong, but they ask me if I would be interested in relief work on the ambulance, When one is out of town, I would be on call for the second ambulance should an emergency arise...
I did that for ten years..... maybe to redeem myself, but was only involved in patient transfers to other hospitals and a few minor accidents...then they switched to paramedics
The dreams of that night and the one patient I lost come less often now, and last night...or early this morning.....it had been at least a year since I'd had one...............

For good reason. Searching for a politician's soul is like searching for a shark's feet.
Don't know much about redemption, but you surely justified the effort and cost of raising you up to man-high.
Still don't like you much, but my respect just rose a notch. Maybe two.

That's terrible! I missed the news that Zimmerman is dead.

"Those are the facts", the guy says. Sounded like a fair bit of speculation in there, too.
More facts:
1. I don't consider Martin to have been necessarily a saintly child; more like a ganstawannabe.
2. I consider Zimmerman, probably a nice guy, to not be particularly intelligent or responsible.
3. If Zimmerman had stayed in his truck and waited for cops instead of approaching Martin when he came back, this incident, in all probabilities, would not have resulted in Martin being shot to death.
4. Zimmerman was not a member of Neighborhood Watch, as he stated he was to the cops. THAT makes him a vigilante.
5. Martin, if he had any sense, should have stayed at home instead of going back to kick some "cracker a$$").
6. In Feb. 2012, it looks like the only "racial" end of the issue was on Martin's part.
7. I am almost 100% sure the entire event was a result of stupidity from both Zimmerman and Martin causing death. Which has been my main point from when I started commenting on it.
8. I can accept the verdict of not guilty for reasons of not enough evidence and have since the verdict became known.

He was found not guilty by Florida law, but he's still a facking meat head. This was a totally avoidable situation, he's a wannabe cop and he sucks at it. The fact he couldn't physically control a teenager shows how much of a ***** he is. I've got beaten in many fist fights and I have never felt the need to where I need to shoot someone. He's a bitch, plain and simple.
