No, WE elected Harper to lead us, WE gave him a strong majority to use his leadership and economic skills to lead us through a difficult global financial mess!!

He has done a great job, we are one of the strongest G8 countries, financially !!!
But like in any organization there are always a handful you cannot please, usually they are not very bright or objective!!

It's nice to see you're in his Calgary riding, Durry.

I'd cast a blank ballot last election, then moved to another riding. So whom did I elect to lord over me?

I never had a chance to vote either for or against harper. I wasn't even in his riding.

There is no debate about any official conflict.....Trudeau cleared his speaking tours with the Ethics Commissioner before they happened.

The debate is about their propriety....not their legality.

And that's a fair question.

But the push behind it isn't about bringing more accountability to Canadian politics, it's about removing a political rival of the PMO.

Considering this is thread about an attack campaign against Justin Trudeau being orchestrated by the PM through the PMO, I think it is partisan to add weight to it.

Harper isn't working in our interests in attacking Trudeau this way, he's single-mindedly eliminating an opponent and using our resources to do it.

I agree that this all makes the PMO look far worse than JT, no doubt. That still doesn't explain JT's absences from the House during debating hours.

No it doesn't, we need leaders who will show up and that's a valid concern.

But so is a leader that shows up for the wrong reasons apparently, it's not enough to be committed when someone is committed to a course of action that injures our political system and the country as a whole.

It's simple, he was taking secured Taxpayer money and then used his position to moonlight and earn more money for himself when he should have been working for the Taxpayer !! Can't be any clearer!!

Great, now have the conservatives cough up the $3.1 billion that was just found missing and while they're at it how about they get some of that $288 million back from Irving Shipbuilding, that's way too much to just think about building patrol ships. Then there was the $50,000 the PM just spent of our money to spiff up "his" jet and the money he used in the PMO to get this whole attack campaign against Trudeau rolling.

Trudeau could do a better job at being in the House and he needs to step up to qualify for our highest domestic office. On the other hand I think the sense of entitlement is so entrenched with Harper in the PMO the only way to remove it is to remove him.

Yeah well, the Libs did such a good job of hiding stolen money that we still have not found the $40 million they helped hide in the Sponsorship Scandal !!

It's wrong all around, that shouldn't be the standard to go by.

Using the PMO to attack Justin Trudeau for being irresponsible with other peoples money is highly hypocritical.

Trudeau's actions could possibly be chalked up to his upbringing and inexperience, and he has room to learn from this. I seriously doubt that Harper is suddenly going to have an epiphany that using taxpayers money to fund attacks on his chief opponent is unethical.

Interesting that you'd dismiss $3.1 billion - just 'cuz the Cons did it - but $40 million is a big deal because Libz did it....

Little skewed on the perspective?

Well if both of you knew what you were talking about, you would realize that the $3.1 billion was not STOLEN like the $40 million that was stolen!!

The $3.1 billion is an accounting screw up. Almost all the staff in Ottawa are easterners, so it's no wonder they can't keep track of taxpayer money!!
Harper has no choice but to work with easterner incompetent staff !!

Sorry, I'm still trying to get my head around this sliding scale of accountability that seems to applied to conservative versus Liberal scandals.

Now I understand why you can't tell the difference between stolen money and miss-allocated funds!!
Better stick to house work..eh!!
