And white man has it made in the shade under your last sacred tree eh?
My, my. Defensive, aren't we?

Nobody else but FNs had their cultures and Religions attacked, weren't beaten into speaking English, weren't enslaved, chastised, ridiculed and push on to sh*tty land?
Ah, I see. It happened to other people too, so that makes it OK. Well, I guess that lets the Nazis off the hook, enit?

If that is what you believe then it's the English who still have you wrapped around their finger with a very jaded history of the Americas and not "f*ckin' whitie" as a whole.
It's nowhere even close to what I believe, but you go right ahead on and make **** up and attribute it to me, mmm-kay? That's essentially talking to yourself, but since you pretend to be talking to me, it makes you look less crazy.

Defensive? Not at all. I'm just not somebody who lives in world of selfish pity who begrudgingly goes around with his lower lip dragging the ground while ignoring the facts to shore up my skewed sense of reality.

Your wittering on about how it's all coz of the decline of the fambly would indicate that your sense of reality is indeed skewed, or at least so simplistic as to be an unwitting self-parody.

I'm sure they did. "Beat the Indian out of the Indian" was a rallying cry for the majority of Canadians. The ends justify the means and all that, what!

No Cliffy- Corruption is rife, nah rampant within many First Nations - You know it - I know it- Every Canadian knows it.

So, you're saying that because one organization in the First Nations structure arguably misuses money, the whole First Nations structure should be abolished?

OK, I'm good with that, as long as the next time some Canadian government organization (like the Senate) misuses money, the entire Canadian system of government is abolished.

Gotta be consistent, eh?

So many abuse the system, and not just Indians, plenty of white lawyers and judges milk the system for thousands of dollars year after well paid year. It's a game now.

Not too many decades ago Indians got very little money, now they seem to need so much money to survive. Money now seems "part of the culture" because how can you enjoy nature without modern conveniences? Money works for everybody these days.

That Harper is allowing private property on rez is a good idea. Band land does not just belong to the chiefs or powerful families.

Your opinion is worth Fukall as you despise Natives. And I am being kind by using the phrase despised.

And just where did they learn about that? Show me a government that is not corrupt. Corruption is built into democracy. It is not a natural system to aboriginal peoples.

I think natives are fine, I've met them, no problem. The problem is they need millions and billions to survive. Odd how they need money so much, just like the rest of us. I think we ought to boot the lawyers and judges out of the way and give money to individuals. Money is the oxygen of our time.

I think you have a problem.

Borden made in mandatory in 1920 and funded the Churches.

Do you need a tissue?

Nope, just a loving family, with a Paw and a Maw and a sister and a brother and a dog and a cat. That'd solve all the problems in the world, according to you.

Considering how comprehensively the Europeans disrupted the economies that were here, it's hardly surprising.

You shouldn't give the money to individuals. You shouldn't give us anything.

I am beginning to get suspicious of your motives. Could it have to do with the Catholic Church's involvement in the rape, murder and abuse of aboriginal children in those schools?
Nah I cheered on the Protestants Lutherans and Anglicans in the Govt funded quest to tame the savages.

Crown people, whether in the senate or aboriginal peoples with treaties, can squander all the money they want, and the govt of the day just yawns. Legalised theft is institutionalised in Ottawa. White collar crime is an oxymoron in Ottawa.

Am I a clairvoyant? I correctly guessed the author of this thread the second I saw the title. -:)

Well, that lets you off the hook.

I figure us Shawnees had it coming because we had abortion.

You also had the De Soto expedition, which caused the death of 85 -90 % of the Indigineous families in its path

and was descended from the Hopewell culture (100 BCE—500 CE), also a mound builder people.
The group of cultures collectively called Mound Builders were succeeding precontact societies in North America who constructed various styles of complex, massive earthworks: earthen mounds for burial, elite residential, and ceremonial purposes. These included the Pre-Columbian cultures of the Archaic period, Woodland period (Adena, Hopewell, and the Mississippian cultures, dating from roughly 3000 BCE to the 16th century CE, and living in regions of the Great Lakes, the Ohio River valley, and the Mississippi River valley and its tributaries, extending into the Southeast of the present-day United States.[6]

Serpent Mound, Peebles, Ohio

Uncertainty surrounds the eventual fate of the Fort Ancient people. Most likely their society, like the Mississippian culture to the south, was severely disrupted by waves of epidemics from new infectious diseases carried by the very first Spanish explorers in the 16th century.[7] After 1525 at Madisonville, the type site, the village's house size becomes smaller and fewer with evidence to be "a less horticulture-centered, sedentary way of life".[
