It's not that I don't think that he is incapable of succumbing to any addiction, it's happens everyday for people in all walks of life. While I've not followed every piece written on this, the first thing I always think is 'consider the source'. The source, as far as I can determine, is hardly the most forth-coming, honest group of citizens. So while there certainly have been over the top allegations against major public figures in the past that have turned out to be true, given all the players in this little drama it seems to me to be highly questionable to continue printing headlines. It is tabloid journalism, period.

Absolutely, the guy(s) doing this are lower on the human chain than they make out Ford to be. As I said in an earlier post if Ford is innocent he should tell them to shove their video where the sun don't shine.-:)

One of the bro's in the video is dead.............

According to the Globe and Mail, Toronto police are investigating a tip that reportedly links Toronto mayor Rob Ford's crack video to a murder in Toronto. Two sources told the Globe and Mail that police interviewed a senior staff member from Ford's office last week about the tip, which the staffer reportedly received shortly after Gawker published its report about the video earlier this month.

Both Gawker and the Toronto Star ran a photo (featured above) of Mayor Ford standing next to Anthony Smith, a 21-year-old shot to death in Toronto last March, though there's no evidence connecting Smith's death to the video.

The Toronto police department refused to comment to the Globe and Mail, and the mayor's office didn't return their request for comment.

The reports come just two days after the Globe and Mail published an extensive exposé detailing the Ford family's longtime involvement with Toronto drug scene.

Rob Ford is Canada's Andy Kaufman, he doesn't care how he gets attention, all he cares about is people noticing him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did all this on purpose just to create even more controversy.

Time to ignore a bloated gasbag that should never have been elected in the first place, Canadians need to find other ways to get their entertainment, electing moronic buffoons is self-destructive.

Who cares, Rob Ford isn't a leader, he a performance artist.

The fact that the Star trots around after him trying to find dirt, does not make the 'performance' of his doing.

He is an elected official, who as far as I can tell, is in the news primarily because the Star puts him there with their constant salivating harassment.

The Star wasn't responsible for his reckless driving habits, conflict of interest, bizarre family history(even without Doug being a drug trafficker), berating 911 operators, attacking journalists, walking into cameras, pratfalls, etc, etc...

He's not a real politician, he's a performer.

You're saying he's blowing smoke up my crack?

We'll see Ford doing that to some guy in an upcoming video, they can only push the limits so far at a time.
