He is the head honcho of the 5th largest government in Canada and must not only be squeaky clean, but must be seen to be squeaky clean...........that is part of why he is paid the "big bucks". He has at some point seemingly put himself in a compromising position.

That is only an appearance thing. With the way municipal governments work in Canada mayors are very weak compared to their counterparts in the US. City Council can and does quite often stop a number of mayors from doing anything big. Its a nice title without much power, im not sure why anyone would really want the position rather than just be a city councillor.

blowjobs still possess the potential to pass sexually transmitted diseases. And in Rob Ford's physical condition 'detrimental to health' is relative.

There could be a good reason why Rob Ford isn't coming out and clearly denying the reports of his crack use, if the video is ever released it would make him look even worse...if that's possible.

Rob Ford telling Doug Ford he's innocent of these accusations isn't the same as the Mayor coming out and categorically denying these claims. If and when Gawker raises the required money it won't matter at all what Rob told Doug.

My theory is that Rob Ford staged this video with the express intent of making the Star pay for it, only to have it be of him flipping them off in the end. :D

Rumor made to be ingested as truth by the sheeple.

The star should either buy this 'video' and put their money where their mouth is, then show it (and 'show us' how clever and sleuthy they are) or stfu and prepare for a boss-sized lawsuit. They butted-in line on the slimy gawker story. Show some nads or crawl back under your rock.

Gawker is taking care of that, Rob Ford should be made to step down if it turns out he lied once again.

Using crack while in the position of authority he's in is one thing, but if he has such contempt for the people of Toronto that he can't be honest with them then he doesn't deserve any position of trust.
