Nope, just sick of Toronto which is really a team that has no fans, but corporate sponsors who make way too much money therefore putting on a crummy showing year after year after year. I hope they are beat down.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooo! Toronto! Booooooooooooooooooooo!

Well, I'm a fan and I'm certainly no corporate toady. LOL! I do agree that there are far too many tickets given to the suits. Free the seats for the REAL fans, the ones that make the NOISE! The prices also need to be reduced.A person should not have to take out a second mortgage just to get tickets.

In all seriousness, who do you think will win the Cup this year? The two teams to beat in the West are Chicago and Anaheim (yuck), and in the East I think it will be Pittsburgh, but only if they stop taking the Islanders so lightly. They were very close to being down 2 games to 1 to them. Washington may go fairly far, but I am not a fan of Ovechkin. I would love it if the Leafs won the Cup, but I am happy that they made it to the playoffs. I think this is the first step of many in the right direction.

There's nothing like the optimism of a Leafs fan.

LOL

A true fan is one who roots for their team regardless if they are successful or not. I'll admit that it's been hard at times, but I could never become a "born again" fan, a fan who decides to root for a team that has enjoyed a fair amount of success in a row. For example, becoming a New England Patriots fan just because they were the winning team at the time. I really only follow two sports. Hockey and baseball. The Leafs and Blue Jays are my teams of choice (I was a Jays fan since I was old enough to know what baseball was). Of course, the Jays aren't making it very easy on my this season. They stink!

What Toronto needs is for its Fans (like you) to stop supporting them and buying their crap and then maybe if they got a little hungry they might work for a Stanley Cup.

Yup, through thick or thin. (Which is worse, "thick" or "thin"?)

When you're a Leafs fan, that's kind of a Catch-22. :p

Many, many of the men in my life have been Leafs fans, lol. I just love to tease. :)

Thick or thin? Really depends what you're talking about, lol.

I eased off in my support by not watching a single game this year (although that was mainly due to the Lockout, which didn't seem to solve anything). Unfortunately, with their current ownership I don't foresee any change in the amount of corporate lackeys in the seats.

I really am glad that the Jets are back. Hopefully the Nordiques will be back someday as well.

No way, the men in my life are not losers! For one thing they have excellent taste in women. :D

LOL

Good answer.;) LOL!

Don't get me started on the The Nordiques!

I take it you don't like them? I just figured that it couldn't hurt to have another Canadian team. Certainly better than having one in Phoenix or Florida.

Well they should have put the Coyotes back in Hamilton when they had the chance and I bet that would have motivated the Leafs a bit, plus Hamilton would have supported the hell out of a hockey team.

I would have liked that move as well. Unfortunately, good ol' Buttman would rather have the rest of the NHL finance the sinkhole known as the Phoenix Coyotes year after year. How many times has the NHL bailed them out? They should have been gone a long time ago, but they still stick around like a fetid fart.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooo! Toronto! Booooooooooooooooooooo!

Toronto has lots of fans. Most will watch there team from home or bars since tickets are either $1000 a pop or owned by corporations but they do still have fans.

But yes the corporations do remove any pressure to make the team better most seasons. Perhaps they are the team for the 1%.

Did anyone see that 'Toronto Stronger' sign in Game 3? What poor taste!

I didn't see it but you're right.

Did you see the Canadian soldier sing "The Star Spangled Banner" and "O Canada"? He was amazingly good with both. Strong voice and perfect pitch. Probably the best rendition I've heard of both anthems in a long, long time.

Pittsburgh all the way.........................Go Pens Go!

Except for the optimism of a Rider's fan. LOL! OOps.............this is a hockey thread! LOL!

There are fans, then there are supporters. The former flock when times are good, the latter are there no matter what.

I am surprised Shadow. I thought you were a Rider's fan. ;-)

Awesome, Jonny.

I sure hope the Leafs play better in their next game. Was so glad to see them beat the Bruins at home and Phil's goal was super.

I can go into any pub in Canada when a Rider game is the toob and find oodles of fans to partake with.

Leafs are that way too but Habs have them beat by at least 3:1

You should be rooting for Monteal! -:)

I root for the Leafs, the Habs, and the Wild right now, JLM. But the Penguins have been "MY" team since I came back to watching hockey a few years ago..........and Sidney is "my" guy! LOL!
