Is it because you are a born and raised Westerner that bring on this extreme dislike for JT??

Or is it because he is a Liberal?

Last I heard Liberals were listed by Environment Canada- Political Parties Dept as on the endangered list.

Linkage from Env Can has shown that the demise of plain brown paper bags, their natural food source has caused a drop in population. More study is required though.

Are you angry because of that?

Christ,...... it would be better for you to just shut the fu ck up before your single brain cell self destructs.

Nope- Though I and in all probability others will engage in a reasonable discussion if that is what you want.

and what others would that be? The brain dead war mongers like colpy? Who's answer to everything is "kill the basterds"? I don't think so, to have a "reasonable discussion" one needs to have more than one firing brain cell.

Me I am willing to see what JT has. Some of his comments in the past have tainted my opinion of him. And I am sure they have been posted in this or other threads.

As I mentioned before after the old boys polish him, what will we see then?

The NDP have also moved closer to the middle. Crowded ground for anyone to make a clear point.

It has always been my lot in life to pick the underdog. I'm hoping Justin becomes the next PM simply because it would piss off the mud slingers. I doubt he would be any different than Harpo, but at least he is more photogenic.

I'm not sure that "underdog" is an apt description for J.T. I'd say between the Silver Spoon and getting to live in the same house as the Prime Minister, "advantaged" may be a better adjective. But still, politically I think he should be given a couple of years as Liberal leader without being ragged on and denigrated, to prove himself.

I doubt the Liberals will win the next election. They'll be splitting the left vote with the NDP, the Green Party and, possibly, the Bloc. The NDP has dreams of becoming the viable alternative to the Consevatives--the post previously held by the Liberals. Can't see it--too many wingnuts hidden in the NDP caucus. But I don't think that the Conservatives will get a majority again. The scandals are accumulating. It's been 8 or 9 years they've been in and they're really no different than what came before. Same old same old.

I agree, I have already said that I would be VERY surprised if the LoP under Justin forms the next government. What I do think is that after 6 years as Liberal leader and 4 of those years as leader of the Official Opposition, that Canadians will be ready for Justin as PM.

I think if Jack was still alive, we might have seen our one and only NDP federal government in the next election. Right now it is looking like a battle for the least of the lowest common denominators.

As a wise man once said "Socialism is a very good form of government...................until someone else's money runs out" (Love that one)

I'm not quite as optomistic as you but as I've said several times, he deserves a chance...............without ridicule!

 it really is surprising sometimes that you are able to put pen to paper.

I, at least criticize my political party for its actions, while you re-brand yours instead of acknowledging the obvious. You surprise me. I didn't peg you for the A-Typical Kool Aid Drinker.

The Liberal Party of Canada will have a hard time form the official opposition.

I don't know why. JT. has over two years for Harper to defeat himself. The attack ads
did nothing but good for Trudeau's fund raising. Btw, Trudeau is 41 years old, not 21.
Older than a lot of his ignorant detractors on these boards. A number of political polls
show that Trudeau has gained significantly on Harper. The true poll is the election in
2015 and Harper looks worried.

That would be 2019 at the latest. Unless in 15 their is a minority govt again. As to the Libs being the Official Opposition, possible.
But the problem is where do they look to increase their seat count.

2011 Canadian Election Results

Go to Prov results- Note that vote rich Ont- Que and the % of votes received by the Liberals.
Harper would have been PM for 9 years in 2015.

All Parties are moving to the center ground-

And Harper may decide to resign later this year or early next- go out on top - and give his replacement time as PM before an election.
