You cannot lock a city down longer than they did. To many problems.

Yeah, I don't know. Earlier I read reports suggesting it might go into the weekend, then they lift it. Just speculating if it could have been a tactic? I'm sure he was following the coverage where ever he was/is.

I was at work so I could not stay current - did not know that. If they knew he had access to more bombs why would they lift it? My wife watched it today and one report was Police found a blood trail. Did you hear that??
And from the time they lifted it till shots fired seems pretty close in the timing. You could be correct on that.

To be honest, there is so much to sort though it's hard to figure out what's a "real" report and what's speculation.

It did all happen very quick.

Hell, I'd have been sweating bullets all day if I was in your place! Lol.

That is what I was thinking. You KNOW everyone started coming out and milling about and chatting it up... then...

"Hey Bob... who's that in your boat?"

That's what I was wondering only because it was so quick. Lift the lock down then boom, they have someone surrounded.

Heard on CBC that they (CBC) had film footage of that area earlier in the day.

They have been all over that neighborhood... cops... press. It was the area that was cordoned off all day.

(I still need to shower... I need a drink too.)

But was it searched?? If it was that team is Fubared.

It was a huge area. Blocks and blocks of houses. It took awhile but they did get him. It was a big game of hide and seek. He got under the canvas in a boat in a backyard and stayed put.

Suspect 'down' as gunfire heard in Boston, sources tell Fox News | Fox News
BREAKING: The second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing is believed to be "down" after gunfire broke out from a boat or shed behind a house in the Watertown section of Boston moments after state and local officials said their hunt had come up dry Friday.

Sources told Fox News a suspect was "down," but later said he was alive and possibly surrounded. A neighbor described the sound of as many as 30 shots as akin to "a roll of firecrackers shooting off," and said blood was found on the door of a shed, or on a trailered boat near it behind a home on Franklin Street.

"All hell broke loose," the neighbor told a MyFox Boston reporter.

Sources told Fox News the shed and the boat had been searched earlier, but a woman noticed a door to it had been opened, saw blood and called police. The gunfire broke out when police went to search it, but it was unclear if any police were injured.

Well... it wasn't like they knew he was in the boat.

We're talking of a large neighborhood... jam packed with houses and apartments and businesses.
true, just bizarre and they think he was likely sleeping
