What does that have to do with Jr. Some sons can have not only different ideological and phylosophical beliefs as their fathers, sometimes different religions and ideas on other issues too.

Junior is running on his old man's name; he'll just have to live with all of the dumbass moves Sr made that comes with the name

Albeit "the acorn doesn't fall far from tree", I know "there's exceptions to every rule",but to be on the safe side remember the rule dominates.

.

Unfortunately, what will probably happen is the vote will split and Fukknuts will win again with a HUGE 35% MAJORITY.

...............

Come si come saw, it could be Turdeau the Lesser.

Not true. Most people I know of our generation are completely opposite to their fathers. My grandfather was a conservative, my dad was a liberal and I'm an anarchist. Justin might just be his own man but conservatives have memory lock and wouldn't admit the possibility if they were face to face with it. It is the conservative way to be stuck in the past. It is what conservative means.

My father thought the government was the answer to all the problems. He voted (like most of his generation) for the Liberals that kept the gravy train running. I'm more of a fiscal conservative. My father was socially conservative. Social conservatives are the reason I can't support the Conservatives.

People that bring up Pierre when trying to dis Justin, obviously are grasping at straws.

Nope... He has earned much derision.

Let's take a look, shall we?

Top 10 Justin Trudeau gaffes | Canada | News | Toronto Sun

On democracy:
In November 2010 Justin Trudeau said "Canada isn't doing well right now because it's Albertans who control our community and socio-democratic agenda. It doesn't work." He made the comments in French to interviewer Patrick Lagace on the Tele-Quebec program Les francs-tireurs

On tolerance:
Justin Trudeau came under fire from Jewish and liberal muslim community groups for a keynote speech at the Reviving the Islamic Spirit conference, saying he respected their right to 'express their opinions.' The conference attracted controversy by including sponsors linked to Hamas

On religion:
While speaking to Catholic youth who were about to receive the late Pope John Paul II Justin Trudeau urged the youth present to reject 'old men with old ideas.'

On values:
"I always say, if at a certain point, I believe that Canada was really the Canada of Stephen Harper – that we were going against abortion, and we were going against gay marriage, and we were going backwards in 10,000 different ways – maybe I would think about wanting to make Quebec a country... Oh yes. Absolutely. If I no longer recognize Canada. For me, my values, I know them very well. But I believe profoundly in Canada, and I know that Quebec within Canada can [restore] this all..."

On technology:
When a federal Liberal candidate in a recent byelection came under fire from local vets over a link purporting to help vets but in fact linked to a party donation site Justin Trudeau responded: "If there was a problem with the website link then I know that it was done in good faith."

On Canadian unity:
"Certainly when we look at the great prime ministers of the 20th century, those that really stood the test of time, they were MPs from Quebec … This country — Canada — it belongs to us."

On the gun registry:
"I voted to keep the firearms registry a few months ago and if we had a vote tomorrow I would vote once again to keep the long-gun registry." He made the admission during a campaign stop at a suburban Montreal mall. Also: "The long-gun registry, as it was, was a failure and I’m not going to resuscitate that."

On gun safety:
"The RCMP guarding me had handguns and I got to play with them every now and then."

On gun control:
"I grew up with long guns, rifles and shotguns. ... I do not feel that there’s any huge contradiction between keeping our cities safe from gun violence and gangs, and allowing this important facet of Canadian identity which is having a gun."

On language:
On December 14, 2011, Liberal MP Justin Trudeau called Environment Minister Peter Kent "a piece of s---." This came during a heated debate in the House of Commons over Ottawa's decision to drop out of the Koyoto accord. Trudeau later apologized

Of course, there's always this one:
Another Trudeau gaffe | Columnists | Opinion | Toronto Sun
"Federal Liberal leadership contender Justin Trudeau was certainly dumb to say in a 2010 interview that Canada works better when Quebecers are in charge rather than Albertans."

The Turdeau salute given by the elder has little to do with Junior.
However, I think JLM has a point about the acorn not falling far from the oak, except that IMO, the oak is Junior's mother, not his father. I also think the little dweeb is using his father's name as a crutch.

Definition of CONSERVE

1
: to keep in a safe or sound state <he conserved his inheritance>; especially: to avoid wasteful or destructive use of <conserve natural resources>

You want to remember Cliffy that over the years from your grandfather down to you, the platforms of the various parties have likely changed too. Also maybe both you and your father saw the failings of the generation before and are just adapting. I doubt if politics is inherited, but traits like stubborness, determination, critical thinking, impetuousness and perseverence might be.

The Turdeau salute given by the elder has little to do with Junior.

Geez, Les, that doesn't sound too promising, for all his faults and shortcomings I think the old man was the stronger of the two parents!

He probably was, but that's irrelevant. I am pretty sure that Junior has more of his mother's personality traits than his father's.

Probably both in personality and appearance, don't think he could match the old man's arrogance!

Being an Aries myself, I don't see arrogance as a bad thing. I wish westerners would get over themselves. If I was faced with an angry mob who are slinging vile slurs and giving me the finger, I would return the favour without feeling the slightest bit of remorse. The west treated Trudeau with contempt and he returned the favour. The west needs to grow up. It was more than 30 years ago.

Harper is slipping in the polls so the conservatives bring out their usual contempt for anyone left of Harpo and his thugs. Bunch of babies throwing crap around in the sand box.

On the one hand I hear you Cliffy and on the other hand I think a smart politican would return graciousness for contempt and kill two birds with one stone, first winning over some disgruntled electorate and second showing tolerance and being above the level of the general rabble. The P.M. has some expectations the rabble has none.

I'm an Aries and I can handle arrogance. But, when some common thief kicks me in the balls and THEN gives me the finger he definitely has my contempt. Peeair was treated with contempt for a reason.

As for Harper, well, he may be slipping in the polls because he's loosing his footing in all the bullshyte people throw out there.

For all Pierre's many faults, I'm a little surprised to hear theft and kicking people in the balls were two of them.-:)

He is running on his father's (former) reputation..

If he was doing that, he would repeatedly refer to his father at every opportunity. The guy has done lots of things to be critical of. I don't need to mention Pierre in order to show that Justin is not a competent, capable leader. That's just being overly emotional.
