Northern Ontario,
Religion isn't a problem. Religious idiots are the problem and they aren't limited to Muslims.

So....Islam is not a problem.

Did a little research. Googled "terrorist attacks", came up with Wikipedia's list of major attacks. I was going to do all of 2012, but got bored half way through.

Anyway, here is the score: (Jan through June, 2012)

140 terrorist attacks world wide.

116 initiated by the followers of the Religion of Peace", with a death toll of 1223 persons.

24 by atheists, or the followers of all other religions.........with a death toll of 135 persons..

But you know, the "religion of Peace" is not a problem.....right.

Yes there are many variations of Islam. Some more moderate than others for sure.
The problem is the religion itself has no concentrated leadership like an Arch Bishop
or Pope or some symbolic leader. They have any number of leaders preaching the
differing beliefs. There in lies the problem. If you go back in history it becomes
apparent that the religion stunted itself when compared to the teaching of other faiths.
Christianity while still contradictory at times (you know those mysteries from God) have
evolved with some structure.
After Christs death, there was a struggle for power within the church and we ended up
with Mathew, Mark, Luke and John and a common goal bringing together differing views.
In Islam that did not happen. Iran has a totally different view of Islam than say the Arab
world, no Iran is not Arab they are Persians.
The other thing we have not come to grips with here is religious practice and customs.
The women's face covering for instance is not part of the religion its is a custom and it
does make a difference in terms of legal applications I that is just one example.
So am I fed up with Islam? Yes and No. Those practicing a moderate form of their belief
are entitled to do so. Those who use criminal or bully tactics to suppress others yes I am
fed up with that. Remember other faiths by enforcing you must believe this or that are as
bad as fundamentalists of any stripe, Islamic, Christian or otherwise.

As long as their practice does not conflict with the laws of the land they are in...or they try to change said laws to accommodate them.

Even the westboro baptist church has to follow the law and doesn't strap on explosives and blow up school buses, so this is where my agreement with your post stops.

At least those God awful Muzzie will let Baptists set up shop in Gaza when Israel won't. Why won't Israel let your types in?

C'mon Pete, you can do better than a Church with a congregation of 12 and dwindling. Whose leader lives in exile in Jordan, and had a prominent member executed.

Shall we get into the PA condemnation of a Baptist Church Bethlehem?

It's hilarious through and through that this hardcore pro-Israel sect isn't allowed to set up shop in what they claim is a free society.

And truthfully, I feel sorry for them and all they're good efforts.
