alright, so I'm the only one who's frustrated that the whole thing ends up a bitch fest instead of a discussion. fine. I'll keep my mouth shut.

My bad...

Ya juan, and company. You guys are so right, the US is all about lying and making themselves out like they're the greatest, when we all know us Canadians are the best in the world and we've never done anything wrong.

Our film industry never does anything like Hollywoodland.

I'll keep my mouth shut.
Not necessary, but it would be nice if we heard from you on the flip side.

Nope - I agree - and I posted the thread in Oct 2012- Amazing what an Oscar win can do to inform and cause an xxx fest.

I'd be happy to discuss the flip side of it.

Like pretty much everyone on here's been pointing out, we're talking about a movie, a movie marketed to the US, so if it has a US slant it's not really a surprise, or a conspiracy to rewrite history.

It is not rewriting history. If you take history lessons from Hollywood then you will fail the course.

That isn't the flip side I was referring to.

But I'm not the one you need to tell that to, maybe you should PM that to #juan and company.

They seem to be very confused about how Hollyweird works.

Wow, this thread has certainly started to circle the drain. I can't help but wonder what guests (or even members that don't post a lot) are thinking when they read this thread. This has stopped being a discussion a loooooong time ago, and has turned into a slag-fest between members. Why? It needs to stop. Talk about the movie, talk about Ben Afleck(however you spell it). Just keep the sniping away. It doesn't DO anything for the forum, and it certainly does not promote discussion.

Now, with regards to me, I have no desire to see the movie. While the story has changed somewhat from what had happened in reality(and irked me a little), that isn't the reason I don't want to see it. It just didn't look like that interesting of a movie. I honestly don't think it deserved Best Picture, but the Academy almost always seems to pick movies I don't care about, so who am I to say if they're wrong, or if I just have bad taste in movies?
