LOL, try past MO's.

No, I mean the usual MO of CC's resident anti Americans.

Of which you are one.

So this argument is pointless.

ya.... figured.... make sure you wash your hands and nose, especially, before you sit down for supper.

"Escort of merchant ship convoys was the RCN's chief responsibility during the Battle. The first convoy sailed from Halifax on September 16, 1939, escorted by the Canadian destroyer St. Laurent. By mid-1942, the RCN, with support from the RCAF, was providing nearly half the convoy escorts, and afterward carried out the lion's share of escort duty."

WWII: The Battle of the Atlantic - Canada at War

Let's see how big a man the big tough american really is.

Honestly... where are you going with this? Why do you WANT me to disagree with Canada providing convoy "escort" duty? lol

Funny how you want the US to butt out of everything... except WWI and WWII. :)

Nevertheless we provide war materials and support prior to getting into the war ourselves.

If we got involved in the fight without being attacked... my my... wouldn't that be illegal and immoral! lol. I love feeding your shyte back to you Gerry. Its just too fun.

In the meantime....

Whatever Gh. I still like the United ****s of America better than your pedophile pope... ;-)

twice now I have pointed out es's bullshyte as to when Canada became militarily involved in WW2. He say's '42 and I have shown that it was '39. Silence from him, and your continued support of his lies.

Would you like me to go back to how I was 2 years ago?

.
exactly... this is totally his MO.

:p

But seriously, this is ridiculous. The vast majority of people are more than aware of the fact that it's a movie, and it would have been awesome to actually discuss it, instead of sit and listen to how 'Canadians are a bunch of whiny bitches' just because he hates when juan says anything about the US. Kind of the same way it would be awesome if other members I'll let go unnamed, didn't try to carry every thread they've ever argued in, into every new thread with certain other members. It gets frustrating to not be able to have any new discussions on the board because members have decided they know everyone's opinions on everything already.

You're denser than iron wood. I never made any comment about when the americans joined in or what they did before they joined. I have only commented on your bullshyte about Canada's contribution.

Which you can't seem to grasp what I meant by "engage". DG wanted to be stupid and say Canada (and others) was doing all the heavy lifting and we were on the sidelines and he got what was coming to him. Not satisfied enough with Canada's contributions he wanted to be like you... stupid.

Not to mention he got the Ugly American.

I said I'll give you all that each and every time if you want dumb azz.

I already said I disagreed with him.

Will it make you feel better if I start swearing at him and going all irrationally anti American?

It would make him feel A LOT better if you did that. A LOT. He's not very bright.

Dudley... just look at the link I gave you. It wasn't my link. It is a Canadian one.

Sure... Canadians had escort duty... I did not dispute that. lol

I know it hurts Gerry.

C'mon! You LOVES us hosers, you knows you do!:D

You bet I do! I love my Cannuck pals and family

Every time I hear a Canadian lament about how the American's don't know X about Canada, I always think to myself "Wonder how many Canadian's actually know X?". Sadly probably not that many. Both nations have it's pride and it's prejudices too. And sadly we both have a fair dollop of ignorant twits as well. About ourselves and each other. When you really stop and think about it, we should all be ganging up on them.

That being said I will admit to getting some mileage out of Americans and Map jokes. In my defense though I think it's important to point out that two things should be very clear everybody. I enjoy my humour and frankly I can be quite lazy.

Oh some Americans are idiots. I do not doubt that. It is too bad our schools are focused more on being PC than actual learning. However we are now seeing the fruits of our labor... lots of dumb uninformed Americans. Lucky for them there are enough of us that can support the ignorant ones.

Before the movie was made 95 % (and that is a low number) of Canadians knew SFA about the actual events. They may have been able to recall a few facts and by few less than 3. Yourself included.
IMO, every Canadian old enough to read a newspaper at the time, knows enough of the details of the Great Canadian Caper to know Argo is typical chest thumping American BS.

But please Goober, please tell us more about how stupid Canadians are.

Meanwhile CB's American *** kissing is a little repugnant...

Again you cannot understand. Oh woe is you. Where did I state that Canadians were Stupid.
I stated the following.
Before the movie was made 95 % (and that is a low number) of Canadians knew SFA about the actual events. They may have been able to recall a few facts and by few less than 3. Yourself included.
And I included you as part of that 95 % plus, as others, a multitude I might add and myself have taken you to the woodshed on history and facts.
And in your opinion - Well your opinion has a very low bar for facts, common sense, knowledge and reality. Some of the things needed to have a decent opinion.

95% of the statistics quoted by Goober are just made up.
