What type of tax are you talking about?
Does it matter? If they don't get you one way they'll get you another.

The state imposes its will on taxpayers and non-taxpayers. If non-taxpayers were denied a say in government, they'd be justified in not obeying the law.
I meant wiich tax is the OP discussing? My 16 year old pays sales tax; should he be allowed to vote?Does it matter? If they don't get you one way they'll get you another.
Just what I was going to ask.
Another blowhard who thinks he and his money are closer to god.
You must be thinking of VAT's.
Sure the taxtakers pay that. With the money they suck from the public ***.
Move the flap on your bra. It's feeding time.

See above and be moot as they bite your ***.
No taxation without representation means no representation through a vote without paying tax.

I guess all the guys in the pens , because of tax evasion don't have any say in the government , right... or is it the other way around ... or perhaps the tax payers should impose their will on the state ?The state imposes its will on taxpayers and non-taxpayers. There should be a 100% tax on all junk food and it should go directly to our health care plan. *burp*In B.C. there is a 12% tax on chocolate bars!

So foreign tourists should be able to vote here?Exactly. So ultimately we are all paying taxes no matter what. Even if its only sales tax. Even tourists from other countries pay into that one.

So foreign tourists should be able to vote here?
Yup. But then I am pretty sure that anyone in Canada is paying taxes of one sort or another. People buy things, they pay taxes. They want a driver's license, they pay a tax. etc. etc.Should only taxpayers beallowed to vote?
Only landowners should be voting? I think there's something wrong with that idea. This is the 21st century CE, not the 4th BCE.When Socrates and his friendswere talking of voters, they were talking of land owners. In today’s terms, that means, ---- taxpayer. The core ofdemocracy.
Taxpayers seem to have opted for a representative democracy. That means they hire people to represent their wishes. If they don't like how their money is being sopent, they have the right to hire someone who will spend it more according to their wishes. There are two types ofcitizens. The taxpayer and the taxtaker.
Once the taxpayer hands overhis wealth, he loses control of where it is spent.
This is counter to thetaxpayer’s wishes.
Why do taxpayers allow thissituation and defer their right to spend their wealth to others?
Welcome to a representative democracy. If taxtakers had done a goodjob with that wealth, I do not think any would complain. That is not the case.
Ah, you want a direct democracy. Good luck with that. I've been prodding for a direct democracy for decades.Should those who pay the wayof our society be the ones who decide where our wealth is spent?
Taxpayers do vote on things in Canada.Since the right to do so istied to our vote, should only taxpayers be allowed to vote on spending issues?
