So the Tour de France stripped Armstrong of his wins as they should have.

But I wonder if all the winners of the Tour de France before and after him won without blood doping and steroids.

Will they all be investigated?

Remember 1988 and the Seoul Olympics? Canada's Ben Johnson disgraced. I've forgotton, who was given the gold in that race?

Saw a brief bit of the interview on the news this AM. Seems he used the Clinton defense, so he wasn't really lying. He claims the dictionary definition of cheating is to use something to give him an edge over his competitors. Since it would appear that they all use some kind of drugs he wasn't doing anything different that the rest of the crowd he wasn't cheating. I predict a great future for him as either a politician or used car salesman.

Try and be a non sleazy world leader and you wind up like Bob Stanfield or Joe Clark.

Their place in the history books will be small but will be a hell of a lot better than most of those who lasted longer.

Now there are Olympic events in which performance-enhancing drugs are not going to be particularly useful; specifically those in which strength and endurance are useful only to a degree, and then it's all skill from there on in. Some examples might be figure-skating, gymnastics, judo, etc.

China tried to introduce tai-chi form competition; that would be another example of an event involving more skill than strength beyond a certain point.

My guess is there won't be any incentive to even used banned substances in such events; the problem there though is that they're often open to interpretation, so then we have to watch for biased judges. Damned one way or the other eh. Still, I'd rather honest athletes and biassed judges than drugged athletes.

So all Texans are the same?

He still has MILLIONS in his pocket and stands to make more in royalties and salaries that arose out of his lies.

From what I've been reading, there may be a few lawsuits ahead for defamation of character.

Look at the bright side, Lance. If it doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger.

I might see a job as a city courier in the works for him. He is a good cyclist.
