Believe me... the stuff works. Even the stuff you can buy over the counter at GNC... supplements... work well. I can imagine what the illegal stuff does.

Re: What a crock of sh*t- lowlife gets to continue "ride" to fame with Oprah!

That would have been my question.
The "Tour de France" is surely the pinnacle of cycling. The seven times this jerk won the thing using performance enhancing
drugs, he stole from honest competitors who didn't use drugs. I feel sorry for those who struggled and fought to win, only to lose
to this fake. Armstrong is an a$$ hole. Oprah did all the honest competitors a great disservice by having him on her show.

There are no honest cyclers. The sport is one of the most corrupt that there is. But certainly nobody else had quite the drug regime as Lance did and he certainly got rewarded because of it.

And it is my understanding that the only reason he is coming clean at all is in hopes of having his ban lifted.

Remember when MLB cracked down on the steroids and Sammy Sosa went from a home run king to a skinny guy who could barely get it out of the infield?

As in cause? Or because of it?
I don't know. They seem to believe more and more that we all have cancer cells in our body at various times in our life. Whether or not it progresses into a problem seems to be when our immune system is weak. Taking any kind of body enhancing drug would have to mess up the regular chemistry thus leaving the body vulnerable in ways we do not even understand yet.

It's sad when this sh*t makes news headlines in a so-called respectable publication. No wonder the world is going to Hell in a hand basket!

Personally I couldn't give two hoots about Armstrong. Or Oprah either, for that matter. And cycling isn't even a sport of interest to me.

I agree that he now has sunk to that area where all of the others went from other sports, BUT if you
think he won over others who were clean, is living in a fantasy land. Cycling is one of the dirtiest
sports and has been for a very long time, so sure he deserves whatever trashing he gets but he isn't
any different than the rest of the sport, the only difference is, he won so many times, then it becomes
all about the money for everyone, not about the cycling world at all.

Maybe he can get his new endorsements from the drug companies. There'll be no trophies but he won't have to deny....

well, he was criticized so much for 'not' coming forward to 'tell all', now that he is, should he be
more criticized for doing so.
Lets get it over with, out in the open, come clean, and who better to sit with than oprah, and she
will not get all hyper about it, just talk, ask the questions, and let 'you' hear it, if you are
interested, i'm not, don't need to hear any more, I know he cheated, along with the rest of the
cyclists, i've moved on long ago.
Don't know what will happen with that sport, nothing I suppose, so, who is next.

Shine the spotlight on Armstrong that way we won't have to deal with the real problem.
Lance Armstrong is a cheat a scoundrel and anything else we want to call him true.
The real problem is he got caught, and disappointed everyone had he not been caught
no problem.
The real problem is we made sports a political icon on the world stage. We hammered
the Russians and Eastern Block countries. Then we find Americans, Canadians and
even Australians I believe were doing the same thing. Now its not so funny. We were
so outraged we decided to be even harder on our own to think one of us would cheat.
Pollyanna is alive and well, of course some of our people will cheat, there is fame and
loads of money to be won. Integrity be damned.
We the fans were also screaming for a hero we could believe in, one championship,
then two and three and still no questions. If it is too good to be true, well you know the
answer.
Take the politics and the huge prize pots out of it and honesty may yet return.
Remember there are others out there that have not been caught yet this guy is not
alone in the sports universe.

The reason he is being critisized is because of his motivation. If he thought he could ride again without doing this, he would remain silent. Now he is just playing a game hoping to get back riding.

I predict he will be as successfull as Ben Johnson when he returned from his ban and was clean.

Maybe they should have two Tour de France's. A drug free, no cheating version and an "anything goes" version.

The same with the Olympics and any other sport work performance enhancing drugs are a problem. I think the drugs allowed versions of sporting events would be more entertaining. If everyone is doing drugs then its fair.

Competitors.... start your IV's. May the best pharmacist win!

My God! Could you imagine the he-men running in this, and the women shaving off their beards before the competition? And how many heart attacks on the field?

I know we are speaking about a ludicrous idea but it has merit only because sports and the quest to win at all costs has become so ludicrous.
