I can prove my family raised sheep in Colonsay...Should Britain compensate me for the sheep which are no longer there?

Did your family have an agreement with the British to pay for those sheep? If not, then there is no comparison.

Ok...are we talking individual towns or actual statistics.....?

Statistics (and logic) show that the more people you have in one place, the more crime you have. But! ( and here's the upside!) The more people you have, the more creation you have. The more debate you have, the more strength, defence and overall advancement you have.

So, are we talking cities? Or small towns that are mostly dying and used and the modern day "posts" for drugs?

"Statistics" and "logic" don't belong in the same sentence!-:)

You really don't know your history. May I suggest 1491, America before Columbus. It is based on the latest archaeological findings. In 1491 there were between 90 and 110 million people in the Americas. 90% died within the first 100 years of contact.
In the Americas....ok, so that's both continents then? South America was much more populated than north, keep that in mind. So America has 300 million plus today, Canada has almost 40 million and South America including mexico ( and Mexico city with the largest city in the world) has probably anywhere from 500 million to 700 million............yes...........very close.

If I dropped an elk off at the Community Center would anyone know how to butcher it; skin it, flesh and tan the hide?

So because the British wouldn't negotiate with me I get nothing? So it's ok to be racist against a Gaelic person because he has no treaties? Holy **** reverse racism in its extreme right there!

In the bush near Sudbury
In the case of my neighbour, he is actually working his traplines ... and I'll gladly admit to being the recipient of much Bullwinkle 'n Bambi. Without the paperwork - which was more likely to have been an honourable word and handshake deal - he will be forced to cease hunting and trapping.

Another idiot that has a problem understanding the law. The First Nations in Canada have both written and verbal agreements. It's not my fault or their fault that the brits screwed your ancestors. The British Crown did not "conquer" the First Nations. They made agreements for the land. Those agreements have been recognized by not only the SCOC but also internationally as well.

And when they have the capacity to manage those lands, they can be the caretakers again. Until then, that just isn't going to happen and ****ing Whitie will continue to be the caretakers.

But that does not detract from a number of facts
Poor to contaminated water.
Drug and alcohol abuse
Highest rates for certain diseases- Diabetes is one
Gangs that are operating on reserves that the band is powerless to confront or refuses to confront
Lands that cross borders at one time were used to smuggle cigarettes. They are now used for drugs, guns and other things. this has to be addressed..
Locations of reserves-
Corruption
Housing that is not even close to 3rd world
The US against them Culture
Treaties could be renegotiated - each region and band has differing needs and grievances.

Just a few points.
Which of course are the reasons for the Idol No More movement.

I just got caught in the glare of the headlights.

Cliffy that is ridiculous. North America was found with almost no people. A few hundred thousand natives couldn't possibly govern or even understand the size of the continent. Resources? even the Europeans couldn't know what resources there were, other than trapping, timber, and the more obvious mining opportunities that weren't exploited for decades. Living with Europeans was a mean, cultural shock for the indiginous aboriginals to face.
It's funny though on who ALL explorers relied on for information.
Lewis and Clark, Champlain, the voyageurs. ALL of them juan.

A people came over the frozen Bering Strait and developed over 25 thousand years, and you juan think they did not know of each other.

Do you ever get tired juan ,of just posting this made up as you think history,(lol) of the Native Peoples.
Your a hoot juan.

Now it would be impossible for the Natives to know the value Europeans put on everything from fish, fur pelts, to gold to vast amounts of land, but the Native people did know how the land and it's gifts were worthy of thanks.
