Haha, nope, the family that we accept and deal with is nearly all off reserve and just normal people.
What the hell is normal? Raping and pillaging the land? Owning a bunch of useless electronic gizmos?
I'm a first generat6ion born Brit and I reject the rape and pillage mentality of "normal" Canadians. Yup, let's force all dem savages to be just like us white folk. That'll fix everything. Typical rape and pillage mentality.

Are you saying the government has not taken land from BC bands in the past? Me thinks you are ill informed, dude. There are very few wars or treaties here so basically we stole all their land.

That is a bunch of horse---t. I paid good money for the land I have.....so did my dad.......and his dad...... I never read any stories about
natives clearing land and planting crops. The natives relied on their luck at hunting and fishing. Europeans brought wool blankets and
rifles that kept a few of natives from freezing and starving. Nothing could have protected them from the cultural shock that followed.

Who gave the Crown the right to issue fee simple title to the land you bought? Where is the authority to do that? The land was stolen and you bought stolen land.

Aboriginal people lived here for ten thousand years, at least. Sometimes they starved to death, just like any predator does when the food supply is down. So what? It is called balance of nature.

Yes, some bands practiced ritual cannibalism and some kept slaves. Whites kept slaves too. Whites slaughtered each other since they first appeared on the planet. (90% of the aboriginal population of the Americas died or were slaughtered within the first 100 years of invasion. It was one of the greatest holocaust in human history and we think we are civilized and the Americas are now better off since we arrived. That is pure Horse Crap.

Or we could give up all the modern conveniences that have kept you and your friends alive for 60 plus years and just smell the flowers. Humans are simply not what you want them to be and never will be Cliffy.
If we go back in time about 100 or so years and put the natives in charge of the land we would at least be Americans.

Here is my 2 cents+GST and the 90 cents extra Attawapiskat already got from me earlier this year and God only knows how much to the 70+ social agencies in my neighbourhood alone not including the time I've given to the people and these agencies.

Dear Canada,

Where can I buy these people self-confidence, pride, unity, a purpose and a future that isn't already available at wholesale outlets Canada wide?

Why they choose to live where there is no opportunity or a lifestyle where there is no opportunity?

Opportunity is available to anyone in Canada if they make that choice.

"The Rez" should be somewhere safe to go AFTER you've gone out in the world and took advantage of the opportunities, raised a family and want to go relax and enjoy a quiet life where your kids and grandkids come visit to "get away from it all".

My neighbourhood makes 100's of Rezes look like National Parks.

I've been here a long time too right (my house is in that youtube video) smack in the middle of the craziness of off Rez life.

It impacts my own life 24/7 365

I have see immense positive change since my youth and the past 15 years that I've been back and settled in and I have seen everything is is to possibly see on the negative side in that time frame. Horrible horrible things, from blood spilled street to human trafficking.

The real issues of Idle No More are just as important to me as they are to those who are truly in it for change.

They are my Native and Metis and mixed firends, neighbours and relatives and have my respect.

I hope they find their leadership this this movement.

Leadership who can utilize the opportunities available to gain self-confidence, pride, unity, a purpose and a future and the ability to kick back and enjoy the feeling of achievement.

Natives taught the pilgrims how to use the insides of fish and game to enrich the soil so the crops would grow in the sandy soil .
They then taught them all about cultivating corn. That is how they survived the second year juan.

Juan you could appear to be stereo typing a very advanced peoples.

Now are you being sarcastic when you say the Europeans brought them rifles and wool to keep them freezing and from starving.

There were 60 million Natives living in the Americas for thousands of years juan.

Wool, lol, thats funny. Can't stop laughing.

No wonder Canada is in trouble on so many levels, listen to this person, this is the average Canadians' knowledge of their history.

It wasn't cultural shock that destroyed them it was viruses.

You like this sort of debate style?
You post diatribes of view ,just personal view.
I ask what you mean knowing you cannot reply for it's tripe.
You would only be digging a bigger hole.

Now it's a few anger posts. lol.
Sad really sad.

You think your posting some proud patriotic work ethic for all to follow.
It has nothing to do with the problem at hand.
You obviously have no understanding about the culture and heritage and abuse the Native people's of this world are living under.
The abuse now goes hand in hand with their modern culture.

All I am asking of my government is to put in play with the same zeal as the ACTIONPLAN CANADA program.
Canada's Economic Action Plan

We have trillions in the ground.
That is the governments one resource that puts it above all other countries in the world.

Why not do something for the Native people of Canada.

Petros you come off as a very small angry little man.

Why? Posers are ridiculous. That's why.
I've been working with aboriginal people for almost 40 years. Because I'm proud to wear a gift from them in recognition for my work, you think I'm a poser? I am an associate member of the Sinixt nation, a trusted historian and spokesperson for them. How does that make me a poser? Yes, I reject the insanity of the dominant culture and prefer to live in the forest. Is that what irks you?

It's Hi yi yi not get lets high high high. Lay off the sweetgrass ya moonbeam.

I'll clear **** up for you real easy with a little picture story about a crooked bitched named Theresa

If you live in a fur and spruce forest and need housing and jobs to get these regularly

You get one of these which mills raw logs into linterlocking building material set up for a few hundred thousand...

and are used to build incredibly easy to assemble and really cheap "live off the land moonbeam style" and cheap these.

which easily fit 2 houses inside one of these

which can even be delivered to remote areas world wide once you've housed as many Canadians as possible efficently as possible by these:

I didn't have to sit go camping in one of these

eating high fat and nutrient rich this

And "claim in starving myself" for my people while earing at $70K a year salary

To get more of these

with the $30 Million of these

I just got a few months ago.

Do you have any of these

I don't think giving anyone anything for free has ever worked. I do not think this is a money problem. I wouldn't work either if I could sit at home and maintain an awesome lifestyle doing nothing. Reality is, I have to drag my butt out of bed in the morning and work. Funny thing about that is, i feel like I have achieved something when I come home at night. Regardless of the job, it lend people dignity.

petros, Chief Spence could well be giving up her life for the cause. This is not a stunt.

Your post has nothing to do with the cause, and all to do with your ignorance.

Now it's pictures and misrepresentation of the reality.

Still no concrete answers with my original request of you.

Just a lot of misdirection with no relevance to the reality of the situation.

This is not about some hand out and free ride.

It's about sharing the countries resources and revenue equally.

She's up her ***. Face it.

You couldn't follow along? It's why I added pictures even though the story is really easy to understand already.

Affordable housing isn't a huge problem with an easy solution right outside her tipi?

It's better to have expensive kit mining camp style housing shipped from New Brunswick than permanent homes and jobs from available, abundant, Rez supplied natural materials on site by only setting up an aseembly line in the community center?

Eco housing buit on site with available materials is a no brainer. Even the shavings can be used for wood gas heat and electricty leaving a highvalue biomass afterward.

All nice and "use the whole buffalo" , "give back to the Creator" and "It's our way" type stuff to boot.
