It must suck to have to suffer from white guilt and have it cloud your moral judgement.

My culture suffered from two attempted genocides in the last century. 16 Milion more than those pesky Joos but I don't blame any of you.

Tomorrow is Holodomor Memorial Day, you're in Edmonchuck, I guarantee there will be a gathering and no doubt collections for your local foodbank.

Make sure you attend.

I am working and we always donate to the food bank, the Stollery as well.

Nope- I do not suffer from white guilt.

My comments were regarding a man who worked for civil rights throughout his career. Is he biased I do not know- I did not find any evidence he was. What EAO commented on was his Jewish heritage. That makes him suspect in his opinion. No evidence of bias- Just that he was part of a Jewish organization. Received honorary degrees from Jewish Universities.
Yet he offers no evidence that UN Watch is a Jewish front group.

As to the Holodomor- I am well aware of the atrocities. People today are so ignorant of the past.

I will say a prayer for those that were murdered.

UN Watch identifies only 4 issues of concern regarding the UN:

UN Reform
Information on efforts to reform the United Nations, including the campaign to create a UN Democracy Caucus and the replacement of the Commission on Human Rights by the Human Rights Council.
UN & Human Rights
Background and analysis on the different UN Human Rights fora, such as the Human Rights Council, the Commission and Sub-Commission on Human Rights, the Special Procedures, and the Treaty Bodies.
UN, Israel & Anti-Semitism
Information on the treatment of Israel at the United Nations and the issue of anti-Semitism.

Rapporteur Watch: Jean Ziegler’s Abuse of Mandate
To safeguard the important work of the great majority of UN independent human rights experts, known as the Special Procedures, UN Watch leads a diverse NGO coalition that has exposed the systematic abuse of mandate by Jean Ziegler, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food.

Their position on each issue is the same as Israel's. Also the only problems they have with the UN is when the UN says or does something Israel doesn't like. Give me a break. This group is clearly Zionist lobby group...

Here's the list of their archives...

Press Releases - UN Watch

It covers a myriad of issues, not all associated with Israel.

Your dishonesty when confronted with facts you can't refute is not new, but one of the very reasons many here believe you earned the label "Joo hater".

Give me a break.
No, you deserve to get PWND for your dishonesty.

This group is clearly Zionist lobby group...
Clearly, lol.

Yes you were, lol.

Democracy caucus- Why not - they have more in common then with China or Iran - or Russia or the Stan's- You have an issue with democracies working together. Yes or no

Rapporteur Watch: Jean Ziegler's Abuse of Mandate - UN Watch
Jean Ziegler (left) meeting with Moammar Khaddafi at his Aziza bunker in 1985

To safeguard the important work of the great majority of UN independent human rights experts, known as the Special Procedures, UN Watch leads a diverse NGO coalition that has exposed the systematic abuse of mandate by Jean Ziegler, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food. Although he continues to deny it, Mr. Ziegler is the 1989 co-founder of the Moammar Khaddafi Prize for Human Rights—an award he went on to win himself in 2002.

Not a word on how Muslim countries wish to lock down free speech- Cannot insult God. Do you agree with that.

Headed by Ambassador Alfred H. Moses (Chair), former US Ambassador to Romania and Presidential Emissary for the Cyprus Conflict, UN Watch is governed by an international board whose members include: Per Ahlmark (European Co-Chair), former Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden;Professor Irwin Cotler, international human rights advocate and former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of Canada; David A. Harris (Co-Chair), AJC Executive Director; Ambassador Max Jakobson, former Permanent Representative of Finland to the UN in New York; and Ruth Wedgwood, professor of international law and diplomacy at Johns Hopkins University.

What Being Jewish Means to Me by Alfred Moses, reprinted from New York Times by the American Jewish Committee.

On account of Ahlmark's 70th birthday in 2009, a new foundation called The Per Ahlmark Foundation was established in October 2008 by the Jewish assembly in Stockholm

Irwin Cotler is a past president of the Canadian Jewish Congress.

David A. Harris is the President and C.E.O. of the National Jewish Democratic Council.

Max Jakobson is a retired Finnish Jewish diplomat and journalist.

UN Watch

UN Watch, a Geneva-based group, was founded in 1993 to monitor the performance of the United Nations and with a stated mission of promoting human rights, but with an prime emphasis on the coverage of Israeli violations of human rights. It is an accredited non-governmental organization with the UN ECOSOC and has affiliate status with the UN DPI. It has been founded and funded by the American Jewish Committee since 2001.

The main activities of UN Watch

1) Monitor UN activities, resolutions, or official statements that are construed to be critical of Israel.
2) Lobby for the removal of UN personnel who are considered critical of Israel
3) Forming coalitions to leverage influence at the UN. This also entails assisting the interests of other groups to later count on their support.
4) Lobby for the inclusion of AJC approved personnel; this is a standard operating procedure by the American Jewish Committee

Does it provide impartial information- bring up legitimate points - You again avoided the questions I asked.
If you do not wish to answer then state so. Avoiding questions does not reflect well on points you make.

Yep, all acknowledged by UN Watch.

I already busted for your dishonesty, you didn't have to provide any more proof you were willfully being dishonest...

Hey, isn't that a forum rule?

Holy crap, it is, and it's rule #1...

1. Not to post any material that you know, or in our judgement ought to know, is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of personal privacy, or in violation of Canadian law;

Hey you managed to get three out of 11.

You'll have to wait for EAO to dig his way out of his dishonest and rule violating post.

Suffice to say, UN Watch is a pro-Israel advocacy group pretending to neutral.
Suffice to say, you're dishonesty and rule violations have been exposed yet again.

Can you answer the questions I brought forwards. Not answering just defeats the points you make. none of the questions I asked are biased - rude - or even off the wall.

How do you expect to convince someone of an opposing view or even to look at a situation in a different light- when you will not answer a reasonable question(s).
To call the work of UN Watch as a Jewish front group and so far your only response is worthless- challenge what they do. provide evidence of bias.
Tell me what they propose is wrong. And answer the questions -

I think this thread has enough pro-Israel Israeli viewpoints. For balance, I'm going to post links to MAAN,

Correction... Its a Palestinian source:

Launched in 2005, Ma'an News Agency (MNA) publishes news around the clock in Arabic and English, and is among the most browsed websites in the Palestinian territories, with over 3 million visits per month. Considered the main source of independent news from Palestine, MNA has become the first choice for online information for many Palestinians, and is also attracting a growing international readership and interest from prominent international news organizations and agencies.

Ma’an Network is the largest independent TV, radio and online media group in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It also broadcasts regionally via the Ma’an-Mix satellite channel.

A Palestinian celebrates what is seen locally as a victory over
Israel, in Gaza City on Nov. 22. (Reuters/Suhaib Salem)

Are you telling me that I am against a viable Palestinian State - And a reply to my last post is requested. Never mind changing topics. Again that reflects on your ability to discuss or answer questions that are reasonable.

Read what I wrote Goober. UN Watch is a thinly disguised pro-Israel advocacy group. Its ok to quote them and reference their opinions. But they aren't neutral in my opinion.
