So, conservatives are laying off employees and it is all Obama's fault. Some people are just sore losers.
Do we have to put up with 4 more years of Walter's whining?

Riiiggghhttt.... All those business owners are going to screw their own companies and make less money for themselves just to spite Obama.

Say, maybe with that logic, the 50+% of Americans that don't pay federal income taxes will start paying it out of spite as well... Make sense to you?

Creating jobs in America is too risky because of the tax and regulatory regime. It makes more sense to create jobs overseas.

Bingo!

Some day, people may actually understand that reality; but not in the near future

How does creating jobs for people on foreign shores get Americans back to work - unless you're planning on evicting citizens?

How much sense does that make to you?

Taxes overseas are a fraction of what exists in the USA today and the Democrats are increasing your costs to do business even more.. All this still doesn't recognize that the cost of labor elsewhere is a tiny fraction.

You don't get it; Obama is not only giving the corporations every reason to leave - he's pushing them away

Democrats and Obama aren't doing a damned thing to hurt me or any other Canadian. How is living on ten bucks an hour (if you can find a call centre or fast food outlet hiring) in an economy geared for twenty-buck-an-hour incomes improving the lot for the people who make the wheels turn? Investors don't care where their money comes from or who they hurt to get more. Why cater to them?

Not just Boeing either. Several Defense Contractors with a California base are getting out too. No one is making any statements but I do remember when two other big manufacturing firms moved out. One had a statement about "why would we stay when we can cut our costs by 25% with a move out of this state?" It doesn't take a genius to figure it out either.

Except Mitt Romney's campaign staff. That is Obama's fault.

Well they could probably apply and campaign for those who will be running in the 2014 midterms.

Do we have to put up with 4 more years of Walter's whining?

Hopefully longer. Even if I didnt lean centre left on most things his whining along with Teddy's was enough for me to root for Obama. If not for him and Teddy I would have definitely been much more critical of Obama on this forum.

Democrats and Obama aren't doing a damned thing to hurt me or any other Canadian.

The US is Canada's largest trading partner... The poorer that they get reflects on their lower capacity to buy goods from Canada resulting in lower revenues for the Cdn mfgrs/suppliers and therefore their employees.

So, yes, the policies that Obama and the Democrats impose on their nation will have an impact on Canadians

Fine - make minimum wage $20/hr; but bear in mind that you'll also have to pass legislation that prohibits the employers from increasing the cost of their goods/services to compensate for this..... That would defeat the whole propose after all.

Think that this is a realistic expectation?

Investors don't care where their money comes from or who they hurt to get more. Why cater to them?

Why cater to them?

Let's see... Without the investor-base, there is no money to start the company that will pay a minimum wage of $20. Not only does a potential employee not earn $20/hour, the possibility of earning $10/hr is off the table as well.

On November 7, the Obama Administration won a decision from the International Trade Commission that China was dumping solar devices on the U.S. Market:

This ITC action clears the way for tariffs on imported Chinese solar panels.

Solar installers are naturally chafing at the Dept. of Commerce move yesterday to slap a 31% tariff on solar panels imported from China. All things equal, higher prices on panels will likely crimp demand from homeowners looking to put panels on their roofs. What’s more, the tariffs probably won’t keep Chinese manufacturers at bay for long. As my colleague Todd Woody points out, China’s panel makers like Suntech, Yingli and Trina will likely build factories in other countries to dodge the tariffs

What it potentially means is that the cost of doing business has caused this employer to re-evaluate their economics and adjust accordingly.

Obama made it clear in the campaign that he intended to raise taxes on those that made more than $250k. That and things like the cost of mandatory Omabacare to the employer generate consequences such as layoffs.

A business needs employees to expand and the ones that have Obamacare will get better employees
