If it was divorce papers that should back fire so badly on Republicans. Nobody is going to vote against Obama because he and his wife once almost got divorced and stuck it out. But they'd sure as hell vote against the party that tried to make something of it. I wish Trump had come out with that, though I wouldn't believe it. Have you ever seen Barack and Michelle interact? Those two are genuine.

So noon has past -- what was the bombshell?

No bombshell... just a dud

I guess regardless of pricetag I just find it slimy to try to extort personal information out of people.

If he isn't required in his capacity as president to put forth that information, what right does anyone have to try to bully it out of him?

Besides, Trump's quiet little 'to my satisfaction' adendum to his speech should make it clear that there is likely never going to be such a thing as 'to his satisfaction.'

Since when did someone's marital status have anything to do with their ability to perform their job? Must be a very shallow voter/gene pool if a marriage or divorce is the determining factor of who to vote for.

For the folks still yakkin' about divorce and all.

Slimy, eccentric...whatever it is...it sure isn't 'bullying'. What does barry have to lose by complying anyway. A lot of charities will get immediate help and barry looks like the good guy.

He has everything to lose because its suspected that his college records show that he only afforded expensive colleges like Harvard because he received foreign student aid. Who receives foreign student aid? People born outside the USA and are therefore ineligible to be President!

I'd lose respect for him. What Trump's doing is extortion. It's tacky, slimy, and uncalled for. And worse, he's apparently slowly going insane. Encouraging him to act like that is a horrid precedent to set.

Trump whined about the birth certificate, and he got it, so now he's whining about something else.

This is why you shouldn't give in to whiny little turds, they just come back with something else to demand. Fuk Trump, and the rest of the penile deficient 'birthers'. They're just little boys who are afraid their penises aren't big enough, so they have to find something to complain about.

Oh f*ck give it a rest. What do you propose be done if he was born outside the US. Are you gonna get in your time machine and go back 4 years?

Maybe some education on US citizenship might help. If he was born outside the US to parents where at least one is a natural born American citizen he, by default, is considered a natural US citizen. His birth could have been on Mars for all it matters, as long as Mom or Dad were born in the states and still held US citizenship.

How much of a hard-on do you have to have for the guy to start up with this sh*t again. Are you worried your man can't beat him so you have to try this type of attack. Why not just run on the merits of your candidate and what their policy means to you.

After all, McCain was born outside the US, and he was allowed to run for President.

And he was an admitted adulterer and a divorcee. Yet the holy-rollers on the right still accepted him for their candidate.

During this period in Florida, McCain had extramarital affairs, and the McCains' marriage began to falter, for which he later would accept blame.

In April 1979,[58] McCain met Cindy Lou Hensley, a teacher from Phoenix, Arizona, whose father had founded a large beer distributorship.[63] They began dating, and he urged his wife Carol to grant him a divorce, which she did in February 1980, with the uncontested divorce taking effect in April 1980.

- What a marvellous opportunity Donald Trump has given to President Obama!

- This is what the marketing types call a win-win-win deal where all the parties are big winners rather than big whiners or little weiners.

- Trump is willing to part with five million dollars of his own money so that Dear Leader can make a major charitable donation in his own name to his favourite worthy charity (other than himself of course).

- This gives Obama the chance to accomplish several major things:

1/ To give millions of dollars not extorted from the taxpayers to a very worthy cause, the kind of thing that Romney has done every single year for decades and feels really good about, as will the president I'm sure.

2/ To give the lie to those suspicious righties who think that Obama isn't really all that bright or industrious and just coasted through high school and Columbia University in a drug induced haze and only got into Harvard on some sort of minority ethnic group scam such as affirmative action and/or a phony foreign born students' loan or quota scheme. Since those on the left including the sizable majority on this board believe the president is the transcendent genius of our time - so brilliant that he can be chosen for the toughest executive job in the world with zero executive experience - then surely his released transcripts will prove their point once and for all by showing that the president got outstanding marks in secondary school and in his undergraduate degree and did not have to resort to lies and cheating and false statements and special crutches/quotas to make his way in academia.

3/ To win a resounding second term victory on November 6th by putting up instead of shutting up and covering up because calling Trump's bluff is surely a slam dunk with nothing to lose on the president's part and will yield a great many votes from the currently undecided voters (and we know the president will stop at nothing and stoop to anything for votes).

- The president should thank Trump profusely, reveal his past as required, take the five million dollars and make some charity really happy.

- I'm holding my breath in anticipation as we speak.

I'll donate to charity if you continue to hold it for a week or two.

- TenPenny ... I have the same regard for your veracity as I have for the president's. Besides, you'll probably donate ten pennies which, in your case, may be a substantial portion of your net assets but not worth me making the supreme sacrifice.

BTW ... Do you have anything even marginally intelligent to say about the actual topic or are you still unable to contribute anything except to change the subject by insulting me?

How can anyone say anything intelligent about this topic? If you think that Donald Trump deserves any sort of attention or that he actually had discovered some damning revelation about Obama or that his challenge to Obama is anything more than a pointless and idiotic stunt and blackmail, then you actually can't say anything intelligent about it. You can just say you're taking Trump's side and prove how incredibly unintelligent you are.

And if you take Donald Trump for what he really is (an attention whoring **** disturber) then what can you do other than mock the man and his idiot followers?

There isn't anything to say about this. It's only real purpose is to see just how dense some people are.
